the retrocession or worsening of social conditions is never a straight line and it would be reductive to position any one particular group or issue to be the "first one to fall". the attacks on entire social groups are never single strikes either, quantitative into qualitative etc. you need to look at trends, conditions, internal movements, not a kind of lighthouse that can cut through the idealist fog of taking the whole to be the mere sum of its parts

every now and then I am reminded that no one on tumblr, despite crowing about conservatives and such, know even a cursory amount about anything political and this week it was me finding Eliezer Yudkowsky tweet going around with people going, "he's got a point about sex though." The protégé of racist white supremacist Nick Bostrom. One of the most important founders of LessWrongism and the current way of conceptualizing Rationalism, whose natural conclusions lead to eugenics (with people in the circle gleefully writing eugenicist screeds to prove this). This guy has a point about how you should have sex. Get fucking real.

They don't fucking read books that are available for free on marxists.org, much less news articles that can be accessed with a little work. "The most passive way of getting educated or no thank you!"
