The engine was the 400 hp 6.0 V12 from Mercedes-Benz, also used in the Pagani Zonda. In combination with the V12 engine, a Getrag transmission was used, modified by Ruf (the German tuner specialized in Porsche) with the inclusion of the sixth gear. The aerodynamics were taken care of down to the smallest detail, to achieve the amazing aerodynamic coefficient (Cx) of 0.306. The suspensions had air springs and allowed the car to lower its ground clearance by about 5.0 centimeters at high speed. The result was a car capable of reaching 340 km/h. The rearview mirrors were deleted and replaced with a single roof-mounted mirror. The retractable headlamps were taken from the Porsche 968, while the cockpit adopted Mercedes-Benz instrumentation.

Ferrari 330 GTC Zagato Convertible

Just one example of the Ferrari 330 GTC Zagato convertible was ever built. The Ferrari 330 GTC shared the same chassis as the 275 GTB Berlinetta with an enlarged version of the engine fitted to the 275 GTB – a SOHC-per-bank 3,967cc V12 with a bore and stroke of 77 x 71 mm, three twin choke Weber 40 carburettors, and an output of 300 bhp.Suspension was independent front and rear, with unequal-length wishbones, coil springs over telescopic shock absorbers, and an anti-roll bar up front and the same arrangement in the rear. Brakes were discs on all four corners, and the transmission had five forward speeds and reverse.
