I was in the bar of the night train to Madrid. At one end sat a smartly dressed man in his 50s or 60s, happy to tell his meandering tales to whomever was listening to him, and indeed, to those who weren't. Every now and again the bar would fall silent as we tried to be clear about what exactly he was talking about. 

Luckily, he was buying the drinks.

Harry Bensley (b. 1876, d. 1956) was an English adventurer who took it upon himself to push a pram around the world while wearing head-armour. I was lucky enough to be his bodyguard for part of the trip and this song is dedicated to his memory.

Bit by bit, I uploaded a new track onto Bandcamp.

The city at dusk is a place of promise. Every window, every doorway, every car, every cafe, every sign, every shout, every footstep, every thought offers a possibility. We can never hope to explore all these possibilities, which is a shame because though many of them will be prosaic, some of them will be beautiful. Stick this on and think about that for a bit.
