The best advice really is to just write. Write badly - purple prose, stilted conversations, rambling descriptions. Don't delete it, pass go, take your $200, save all your garbage in a big folder. Look at how much you've made - it doesn't matter if it isn't perfect, isn't polished, it was practice. Every time you write you learn a little more, and find another piece of your voice.

You know what's beautiful?

After 16 years Dan and Phil are kinda just starting their relationship all over again. They get to find out all these new things about each other and what they're comfortable with. There is this sense of a honeymoon period all over again, cause everything is different now.

They get to start asking questions like do we like PDA? Are we hand holding people? Do we want to get married? All these things that were purely hypotheticals can now be a reality and they have to learn together if these are things they want.

After 16 years they get to find out there are still things they didn't fully know about themselves or each other and learn them for the first time.
