MY NEW NIGERIA TO me, Nigeria needs apply either of these two solutions to salvage herself and give us a NEW NIGERIA, but I’d rather we opt for the second. THIS IS ONE COUNTRY WHERE INDIVIDUALLY AND AS A PEOPLE, WE KEEP DOING THE SAME THINGS WITH AN EXPECTATION OF A DIFFERENT OUTCOME/RESULT. THE first option to salvage Nigeria, and create a NEW NIGERIA , in my personal opinion, is that we DISINTEGRATE and go our separate ways by tribes and tribal affinity, because we’re basically nurtured thus, that it almost seems natural. We ALL pay great allegiance to our native origins/tribes , either very vehemently obvious or subliminally. I for one, come from a tribe that I don’t understand my language and can’t speak it, but I know that I’m firstly favourably disposed to people from that axis albeit subliminally, and unbeknownst to me initially, until I had to thoroughly search and tell myself the truth. And by association, I’ve noticed many peers in same boats as me, who though live in denial that they stand for one Nigeria. And this is not so much that we all don’t stand for one Nigeria, but there’s a somewhat NATURAL INSTINCT (unidentified or denied or ignored) by many that draws us FIRST in a particular direction (our own tribe), before we look to the other direction (other tribes.) THE other option to me, to create THAT NEW NIGERIA, is that we MUST provide a developmental, progressive, functional, relevant - and I dare say - futuristic primary and secondary school curriculum and calendar. There was a time we use to import brains into this country in the form of Ghanaian, Indians and even Egyptian teachers into our secondary schools. I’m a 100/100, 50/50 person. I know truly that the best of living is finding a or the balance. Everything, and even humans consists of at least two sides, which in some cases are opposites. And it’s always safe to try to look at both ends. And if you can, try to pass no judgement. There’s no country on the face of the earth that doesn’t have thugs. However the extent of thuggery in any country is proportional to the level of individual common sensical acumen and exposure to varied kinds of teachings, added with national consciousness. I know my country is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, as contributed by you and I, through our minutest misdeeds, silence, avoidance and or evasion of truth and propriety. Now we’ve come to the verge of pulling down and rebuilding #NEWNIGERIA, we want to use the OLD ways to create the new. That will hardly work. In all that we do in this life, let’s always know and pay good attention to the powers and or authorities that are more powerful than us. And let’s know how to approach those powers/authorities to make demands to and for our own advantages. Sometimes, we need to sit down and tell ourselves the home truth and hold ourselves accountable to that truth, even if we don’t want to execute on it. Truth is truth. Let’s see our next step. Know however that every intention has in it cause and effect. #ENDSARS It’s barbaric, savage and suicidal for any sane person to intentionally put himself not only in harm’s way but death’s way in this supersonic age to fight any course or prove any point. This is the era of quick fixes and sorcery-like play outs, where we don’t see something coming until it just burst open right in our faces. This is an era when and where everything is “app-able.” We can win #ENDSARS #reformnigeria with words, pens and pencils, systems and devices. THIS IS THE POWER IN AND OF THIS AGE. Already petitions are going round and not too long sanctions are going to in and justice will definitely be meted out in no time. For us to win this course, we MUST first #selfreform, #rebootourmindset and #beselfaccountable. We can’t destroy us to save and keep us. We can’t destroy innocent lives and property to rebuild Nigeria. We can’t allow a callous insensitive Nigeria government to confuse us with causing chaos and instability and then we too will retaliate irrationally and the whole course will end in nothingness. Just for jokes, to start with anybody above age 24 is not a youth according to dictionaries. 😂😂 However though youthfulness is full of boisterousness and exuberance but very so effervescent. What an elder sees sitting in a pit, a child cannot see standing on the top of the tallest tree. Nigeria will not be truly reformed if you and I cannot ask our children to deter from an action and we get the RIGHT SPEEDY response, which is OBEDIENCE. OBEDIENCE is not only better but absolutely PROFITABLE than SACRIFICE. Truth be told, our Nigeria system is totally rotten to the marrow. From home, to worship communities, to schools, to government and its governance, to the streets and back home. Redemption is what we all sort for. The bad lying heinous government has in its very characteristics issued an order. No matter what, it behoves a sane citizen to obey that order. As we’re loosing power over our children at home, the children are now thinking that no other authority is above them. It is true that the government was deceitful in its pronouncement of a curfew few hours to its outset, still it’s an order of higher authority that should be obeyed. As many of our children that would’ve heeded that order, less would have been the mayhem at the Lekki tollgate, if at all any. WE ARE IN THE MOST INNOVATIVE, PRODUCTIVE AND PROGRESSIVE ERA FROM THE AEONS. This is the computer age, not just the jet age, but supersonic age where results are attained almost without human contact. We live in a global village where space and distance is closing in very rapidly sometimes without notice. At this point that we have reached in our fight for #ENDSARS, #reformnigeria, we can fight the fight with our systems and devices and win absolutely. We don’t have to make senseless sacrifices, because truthfully, sacrifices don’t exonerate the act, but only appeal and appease, but the deed has been done and sometimes never redeemable. DEAD MEN DO NOT TALK. Their blood may cry out, but it’s still the living that have to met out justice. So let’s stay alive and on course, resolute. A 24 hour curfew will not kill anyone.
