Motorola RAZR i gets Jelly Bean!

Intel has FINALLY finished making their Jelly Bean port for the Intel phones and now the RAZR i can get it! Bearing in mind that phones in carrier shops might not have updated yet, which do you want me to review? RAZR i or Nokia Lumia 920?

Galaxy note 2 or IPhone 5? Im on orange tariff in UK and am about to get an upgrade but I cant decide between the two. Thanks in advance.

Hi, your question is typical. High-end Android or iPhone? Personally, I would go the Note 2 way, but let's look a bit more in-depth. (Oh, please read my Note 2 review.) If you watch a lot of content either will do. The iPhone screen is sharper, the Note's bigger. However, there is still the awkward factor that the Note 2 is quite large. Oh, both devices have either 16, 32 or 64GB of storage, but the N2 can support 64GB Micro-SD slots. In terms of hardware the Note pips the iPhone with bigger screen, twice as many cores, double RAM etc etc. Samsung is also fairly good at updates. Both support LTE but EE is ridiculously expensive, but Three will be rolling out LTE asap.

When it comes to price both draw equal. An iPhone 5 16GB can be had £20/M with 319 upfront (cheapest) or £49.99 upfront with £49/M contract (Both over 2 years). LTE will cost £5/M more. The Note 2 is basically the same. So, Note or iPhone? If you have an iPad/Mac/iTV then get an iPhone as it will work with the others. However, if you are human, get a Note 2. If the screen is a bit too big for you the Galaxy S3 is the phone for you. I hope I have given you (some) help, thanks very much for asking.

Megapixels dead?

The upcoming HTC M7 might feature Ultrapixels rather than megapixels. However, this doesn't mean the images that come out will be 3UP big. Using 'Subpixelling' (First seen on the Nokia Pureview 808) to make pixels fit into other pixels, the images that come out will be only 4.3MP big. How do we know this? HTC released a kind of biased history of photography. Even so, If you are hyperventilating for the M7, it possibly will be announced on Feb 19th. No MWC announcement here.

Google+ beats Twitter!

Google+ has finally got enough people on it for everyone else to be confused when you mention it's name. It also passed Twitter in terms of active users.

BBC to bring first 4K footage

Since 2008 the BBC has been experimenting with Ultra HD, or 4K. 4K is 4 times better than Full HD 1080P in case you were wondering. But the Beeb has confirmed that Survivor (Upcoming Wildlife programme) is being shot in UHD and will FINALLY bring 4K to the 12 people with one of those £25,000 TV's. The Japanese Government has said that they are ready to record the World Cup final in 4K, which can only be good news. Oh, as well as recording the 2012 Olympics in 3D, the Beeb also recorded parts of it in 8K which is, you've guessed it, 8 times better than 1080p.

Galaxy Note Jelly Bean on the way

Samsung has updated the user manual (who even reads those?) in the Galaxy Note to include Google Now. GNow is a Jelly Bean feature, so we know that either 4.1 or 4.2 JB is on the way to the original phablet.

Seriously though, WHO reads these manuals? Use the on-screen tutorial, or get a brain.
