"The cold and careful Lady Mary Crawley.”
Cheers to the happy couple || Andromeda & Narcissa
"What are you doing here?" Narcissa had gotten used to the ebb and flow of near constant well wishers since the engagement was announced but she never expected Andromeda. She didn’t draw her wand yet but the thought crossed her mind as she gave her sister a look of cold disdain. "I’m afraid the elf let you so far in, you must have thought you were welcome."
"I would never be so foolish as to think I was welcome here," Andromeda said with her own cool smile. "Just because you forgot the common courtesy of bringing an engagement gift when I was married, doesn't mean we all have your manners," She held a box out to her. "Congratulations on getting everything you ever wanted."

"Some. Most of them refused to see us when they heard our surname…so if you wanted to try those ones?" Draco frowned deeply and handed over the notepad, gesturing to said names. "And the ones with a score through them are the ones who’ve already visited. I…the last one said there was nothing more they could do but…there has to be something else, right?"
"There's always something, love," Andromeda used her wander to conquer some parchment and copy the list. "I'll do what I can to get in touch with these healers and see what they have to offer. There's no reason for them to know who Cissy is at all at least at the onset. It's a start at least." She offered another gentle smile as she pocketed the list.
Holiday Cheer || Andromeda & Cassiopeia
"I was…made aware. For what it’s worth I am sorry. You must have loved him great deal to do what you did." She didn’t approve but Cassiopeia could sympathize with just grand actions of love. "Well. Bella’s dead. Killed by a bloody Prewet. Or Weasley…whatever. There wasn’t anything to bury and even if there had we wouldn’t have been allowed." Taking a deep breath she looked down. "And I’m sure you’re pleased to know that the Malfoys are pariahs. We’re doing just fine I suppose." She wanted to tell Andromeda she still cared too but she couldn’t force the words out after so long.
"We all made our choices, Cass. Bella made hers with an open heart and if her punishment for it was extreme then so be it. I wish things could have been different, but it's hard to wish Bella peace when she killed my daughter," Andromeda didn't have much anger left for the situation. She'd used it all up. "And I know my dear sister knew what she was doing when she went after Tonks, heat of battle or not. My husband's only crime in the eyes of Death Eaters was his birth." She shook her head. She supposed that was her daughter's crime as well. "I don't want the Malfoys to suffer, but can they say the same for all those they've wronged?"
Holiday Cheer || Andromeda & Cassiopeia
"Cissy’s been preoccupied." Cassiopeia drawled out, flashing her sister a cool look. "Furthermore, those are the casualties of war. As far as I know only one of your kin was sought out by name and that was hardly our fault. Look towards the ministry for that. And If I’m going to have the grace to not blame your side for all they’ve done to mine then do have the decency to at least keep your comments to yourself." Stiffly she folded her hands in her lap. "Besides, it’s not as if she hasn’t thought to. She just knows it’s inappropriate. Not to mention have you considered she’s not even allowed?"
"That kin was my husband, Cass," She said softly. "The man I loved. The father of my child. They took him and they killed him. He was no soldier. He was my husband," She felt the same about her daughter, but at least in Dora's case he could tell that it had been her choice. She left that night to fight for what she believed in and new the risks. She and Ted had nothing to do with the war. "I don't know anything about either of you anymore and it isn't as though that doesn't make me sad, Cass. I know you have your own feelings about me, but...I do care."
Holiday Cheer || Andromeda & Cassiopeia
"Of course not. Why would I want to hurt the little…um…tyke?" Cassiopeia wasn’t sure how to proceed with the subject, having spent the better part of his life listening to Bellatrix’s rather loud opinions on him. Once they reached the living room she couldn’t help but stare at him, feeling a tinge uncomfortable before smiling at Andromeda. "Just a visit. You know, the holidays, good will toward men. Cissy has been incorrigible lately, driving home the importance of family with a mallet. It made me think of you."
"I wouldn't know," She admitted hoping that her sister truly meant no harm. Cass wasn't Bella so she felt she could trust her to a point, but it was still only to a point. "Yet Cissy has not sent so much as a condolence owl since she and your lot killed most of my family and orphaned my grandchild," She sighed. "I appreciate your visit. I'm just not sure what to make of it. Family matters rarely come without strings."
"hwi wandwomeda" Aurora said softly
Hello.

Reaching out to squeeze her hand, Draco handed Teddy back over to her, before reaching into his pocket. Pulling out a small notepad, he waved his wand and it returned to its normal size and he flicked through it. “I wrote it all down here - that way I have it on me at all times.”
"Wonderful and are they hopeful?" She asked taking Teddy and bouncing him on her hip. "Do they think they can do anything for her or are we just trying to make her comfortable?" She'd help in any situation, but she hoped that this wasn't the end of the line.
Holiday Cheer || Andromeda & Cassiopeia
"Yes…well, I think enough time has passed don’t you? We might as well be grown ups before we’re corpses." Smiling once as she stepped over the threshold, shaking snow out of her hair with a soft hum. "And before you get wondering it’s not food so it’s not poisoned and they aren’t cursed."
"Good because I hope you know that if any harm were to come to Teddy, I would not hesitate to strike back. There's not need to mince words," She smiled and led Cassiopeia to the sitting room. Teddy was sitting near one of the chairs playing with some blocks. Andromeda sat the boxes beside her before sitting down her legs crossed at the ankle. "What are you up to these days that brought you here?"
Holiday Cheer || Andromeda & Cassiopeia
"It’s the holidays. Surely it’s not preposterous to understand when family comes calling." The word family was hard to bite out as old embittered anger for her sister still lingered. Smiling tensely, as if she just realized how uncomfortable this could be she reached into her cloak and pulled out two boxes. "They’re presents, it’s the holidays and I don’t mean any harm."
"After a certain number of years, one is less apt to expect anyone to come calling," She straightened up a little and held the door open. "Come in. We'll see what your visit means in no time I'm sure," She took the packages. "Thank you. You didn't have to do that," She stood aside. so that Cass could make her way inside.
Holiday Cheer || Andromeda & Cassiopeia
The first christmas after the second war a grim time for everyone. Death still too fresh in everyones minds, the outside of Andromeda’s modest house reflected that with ill kept walk ways and mostly darkened windows. Making her way up to the steps, carefully climbing up with a look of frustration before knocking once, schooling herself into a pleasant, almost cheerful visage.
Andromeda wasn't expecting company. There weren't many to visit these days. Harry certainly, but he always floo-ed ahead. Sometimes she still expected knocks at the door to be her daughter and Remus, but of course it never was. She sighed leaving Teddy to play in the sitting room while she went to answer the door. "Cass...What are you doing here?"
