sure, it was nice of akaba to let shun continue to sharpen & hone his cut-throat battle skills with all his fancy & handy tech, but one thing was for absolute sure, shun did not take orders. no matter what. although, it may have just been a pointed comment, kurosaki still bristles at the droll sound of it in his ears, like a dull buzz, shoulders squaring more as he briskly ends his turn vs the ai, the xyz native offers the young ceo an intense glare, voice gruff as if he’s gargled gravel, but it lacks some heat after his constant hours of non stop training.

“make yourself useful and get me some water. my stance works good enough for me.” he grumbles irritably, unwilling to relax.

“Bring him some water,” Reiji ordered from an attendant.  His eyes never left Shun.  He reminded himself to be patient, training an army wasn’t instantaneous.  “You’re going to injure your shoulder if you keep holding yourself like that.  Would you rather dislocate your shoulder, taking you out of the war effort, or take a hit to your pride?”

Reiji didn’t wait for an answer, grabbing a duel disk off the shelf and walking towards Shun.  “Hold it lower and closer to your body.  Gesturing like that will injure the shoulder.”
