Sorry it took forever to answer this. we almost have the full statement ready (though it didn't help that *more bullshit has happened since my last post* including an actual real life legal scandal? it's a lot lol) but we had to prioritise finding stable housing arrangements for the victim. which we have :D but no despite best efforts i have not been silenced. stay tuned 😭
update: i have, in fact, gotten permission to share a victim statement and receipts, and will be doing so shortly. i'll be debunking the various call-outs point by point as well as providing evidence of frillinois involvement. there's a LOT documented here, so bear with me for a bit. while i get things organised.

not publicly yet-- so far i've kept things intentionally a bit vague to protect the victim, since she has received retaliation in the past for talking about this herself, and have been sharing the details and proof in private by request. since this has gotten a lot of attention, though, i am considering compiling the victim statement and evidence into a linkable format, if she gives her OK. for now, feel free to ask off anon if you would like the complete rundown.
TGL is not presented 'by the Chicago comm', different people are running each. I'm not gonna tell you what to do with your money but I think it's worth noting that these are separate entities. I worry a boycott may not achieve anything actually relevant to the cause. It may just cause unnecessary harm to people who were not responsible for any of these decisions. Do we really want to throw the baby out with the bathwater just because they're both based in Chicago?
hi! this is a great question actually because it gives me the chance to explain. don't worry, i'm not hitting strays here:
while the frillinois staff aren't *mods* in the chicago comm, they DID cosign the harassment campaign by uncritically banning the victim from the event (and future frillinois events) as well, all while claiming they "had no idea what happened". i have screencaps of the emails where this was explained, and can share them off anon. to quote, "we don't make or weigh in on comm membership decisions, but we acknowledge the impact that comm decisions make".
if the frillinois staff want to be seen as distinct entities from the chicago comm as a whole, they should not be bandwagoning the local hate campaigns, and they certainly shouldn't be echoing the comm banlist while claiming that the reasoning for the ban is "none of their business". it's unprofessional and irresponsible at best.
hopefully this helps to explain my stance.

i got some requests for this specific headdress style, so i ordered more of the lace for it. i'd like a head count of how many to make, though. so if you're interested in one, reply here or to my insta story! i'll be making them in mint by default, but if you're interested in a specific colour, let me know and I'll see if I have any fabric on hand for it.

i made a skirt with it a while back actually! i would totally make more mains with it. at first i was saving it for accessories, because for a short time it was discontinued, but it seems to be available again!

I had a bunch of milky mint fabric on hand, so I made some headdress design ideas. If you guys like these, I'd be happy to make more-- by request I've already ordered more lace for the B and C types. I will also consider making these in multiple colourways by request. There's still a couple of the A types left!

Now available: Old School Velveteen Headdresses!
I made 5 of them from the remains of an older skirt, and may be able to make a couple more with the leftover fabric I have remaining. I wanted to try something with black lace, and decided to start making accessories again.
This time, instead of sewing the clips down, i used small fabric loops to secure the clips, so they're removable and the headdress can easily be washed! The bows are made of the same fabric as the headdress, and hand sewn by me! The fabric is 100% cotton velveteen, but the underside is burberry, so it won't mess up your hair. These are designed to be old-school style, but should look cute with gothic, kuro, and classic looks as well!
There are 3 varieties, but they're sold on a lucky dip basis-- customers will receive one at random! If these do well, I will consider making more colourways. I'm also workshopping some other headdress designs, so look forward to those!

here's something I've been working on recently. I plan to list this particular one in the shop as a one-off prototype when the braided trim comes in, and I'm working on making it appropriate for a larger scale release! I'd like to fix it so it has a side zip rather than a back zip, since I'm not a big fan of the "VM style middle of the shirring panel zipper" situation. however, since I'm not used to doing zippers yet, this was the best way to hide the amateur mistakes I made so the garment would still be wearable quality. It's also my first time doing corset lacing, and I, uh. Bluntly, it's kind of a mess. I think next time I'll install grommets instead of relying on my machine to produce neat buttonholes (on a similar note, i'm not a fan of how the strap button holes turned out, either). Maybe on a future release I'll add some kind of waist ribbon, too-- originally I tried to make one from scratch, but I didn't love how it came out, and eventually, i decided it was better to be Done and imperfect than to spend another 5 months trying to fix it. The lacing is some random lacing I found from an old dress i no longer own, and i think i would probably use a mint coloured ribbon on the final version (i may swap it out when I list it for sale)
this is made of the same rose fabric as my My Dear Rose Pintuck skirt, but I could probably make it out of other printed lawn type fabrics, or possibly burberry. I chose the fabric I did because I had a lot of it on hand.
I'd also like to add skirt lining, since I skipped out on that this time (the bodice is lined and hand-finished, but I was so tired of jacking with the zipper by this point I didn't want to even think about the logistics of adding skirt lining).
The sizing is on par with my usual work-- 100cm max bust, 88cm max waist-- but I'd like to find someone to commission to grade the bodice pattern for me. I imagine I could add to the shirring panel to some extent, but I don't know if that would be suitable for increasing the size more than, say, 10cm or so, and I'd like to make a plus size friendly version eventually. I DID make the straps extra long, though, so the button can be moved down for a taller figure.
The planned braid trim will go over the seams on the gathered skirt panel-- maybe some on the bodice as well? I'll do a mock up and decide. I'm thinking of mint braid for a little contrast. The bows are also hand-finished and detachable, but I just used whatever safety pins I had on hand, which wasn't ideal. It IS machine washable, aside from the bows, because I sealed up any raw edges with bias tape.
Flaws aside, though, I'm quite proud of this one, and it's a head and shoulders above my previous work in terms of construction quality.

As stated in the image, there'll only be one available, and it'll go up at 8pm EST. I'll be pricing it at about $120USD. There's a few things I'd like to fix about the pattern before i make more of these (as described in the OP), and i'm concerned about tariffs impacting the cost of materials, so the final version will probably cost more, and may be a MTO after the final sample is made and sold. I feel bad complaining, since some indie brands are suffering much worse from tariffs, but i do get most of my fabric, trims, and lace from japan and/or china, so i'm still catching some impact 😭 it's making me wish i'd stocked up before the election. still, i'd like to try and continue making things, so bear with me.

the power of salvage! i made a velveteen skirt ages ago, but hated how it came out, and it's just been sitting around. so i took it apart, and cut some of the pieces to make an old-school style headdress!
originally i wanted to make a camisole, but the pieces aren't quite big enough. how are we feeling about these? i still have a good deal of black fabric left, and i have enough lace to make an assortment of these, but i might also consider doing totes, bow clips, etc?

a friend of mine offered to make me a handmade doily in exchange for me making them a skirt (originally, i planned to gift it, but i couldn't say no to a doily!), and so it went.
are the pieces in the brown lucky bag patterned/printed or just plain? I would love to have some solid coffee tone pieces (please don't feel the need to answer, I understand that a lucky bag should be a surprise but I was just wondering >_<)
both the skirts are printed! i am planning on making some solid stuff soon for regular purchase, but the lucky bags were for getting rid of backstock, and most of my backstock is prints.

I made these to use up leftover fabrics and get rid of old backstock, prototypes, and so on-- I've been working hard on improving the quality of my work, so old listings have been taken down to make room for new, better quality designs. So far I've only made mint and bordeaux, but I plan to make pink, brown (will contain some beige items), and possibly some other colours? It depends how many it takes to get the backstock storage pile under control, lol.

Just added the brown one to my shop! I may be able to do a second brown one, since I still have a lot of brown scrap fabric and a couple of brown/beige items left.
this one isn't actually for sale, it was for an art trade, but there seems to be interest so i may make more of these! i used my fav perle lace and some beautiful cotton 21 wale corduroy that's light weight and drapes amazingly. i also changed how i do waistbands-- instead of sealing the raw edges with bias tape, i managed to fold them inward along with the lining. i still need to work on getting the seams perfectly neat, but im getting better! sadly didnt have the time or energy to iron this, so its a bit wrinkled from sitting in my WIP box for a week while i waited for the velvet ribbon to arrive.
for the headdress, i've started sewing loops to the bottom for the clips to go through, instead of sewing the clips directly to the fabric, and i think it's nicer this way since it makes them easier to wash.
