Anyway, I reread my and bro's old fanfic about Ink's apprentice and decided to change everything.

First of all, I created a new character, because it's cringe-worthy to insert myself into the story now.

Hidden Traith is a 14 year old boy who lives with his foster mom in a small house, goes to school, hangs out with friends, etc. But at some point everything changes by Ink, who decides to take a vacation, and to do so, he finds a replacement for the time being.

The kid learns to defend au, socializes with other characters, and tries to figure out what the hell is going on here.

(I won't discount the link to the old fanfic. I'm ashamed.)

As someone who was in their shoes as a kid, this is representation I didn’t know I needed.

I think it would be interesting if Dipper was the one between the two to take the Pines parents separation the hardest. Despite Mabel proving to be the hopeless romantic, and loves love so much. Dipper is also a crazy hopeless romantic, and we already know he had anxiety about this being a possibility. I can imagine he’d go home after that summer feeling super confident about being able to take anything that gets thrown at him and Mabel, only to have this situation still prove he still has growing to do.
