aki angel deniers citing himeno and angels past gf as reasons as to why the ship sucks when they quite literally just take that place in the others’ life?????

angel literally takes himenos place as akis buddy and does same thing himeno does by telling aki to run away. i mean in the anime intro we see angel sitting directly behind himeno in the movie theatre for this reason like he fills that role for aki it’s obvious

aki takes the place as the human angel cares most about in his life. aki saving him gets a direct flash back to his girlfriend, for example. aki gets angel to break out of makimas control. it’s obvious he’s meant to be his other love interest. actually, when angels past gf was revealed, i thought it was moreso of a confirmation that full devils can also love humans. iirc angel is the only devil that has, without influence, fallen in love with a (full) human authentically. i think that’s lowkey beautiful…

not to mention all their denreze parallels. i think they are meant to be seen as a romantic couple, for sure, even if there is nothing explicit
