“My pain is manageable” for @prototypeboy. Welcome for all!
I've been drawn to a few Greek deities for a while now, how to know the signs that they're trying to reach out? If that makes sense?
The old gods are not subtle. They are proud. They demand to be seen, heard, felt.
• They give you visions while you are awake.
• They whisper to you before you fall asleep.
• They send you unbelievably vivid dreams.
• Their portraits move, showing you if they are pleased or if they disapprove.
• They appear to you while you are divining, through tarot or scrying.
The Greco-Roman Gods in Tarot
This is how they show themselves to me… how they always have to the women in my family.
• The Fates – The Wheel of Fortune
• Venus – The Empress
• Pluto – Judgement
• Mars – The Tower
• Uranus – The Fool
• Neptune – The Hanged Man
• Saturn – The World
• Mercury – The Magician
• Charon – Death
• Jupiter – The Emperor
• Apollo – The Chariot
• Diana – Strength
• Athena – The Star
• Asclepius – Temperance
• The Graces – Three of Cups
• Hephaestus – Eight of Pentacles
• Dionysus – Nine of Cups
Unlike other gods, they do not love you by default. You have to initiate. Only then will they respond. They do not care for quiet devotion. They want bold admiration. And once you are their advocate, an insult to you is an insult to them. So expect decency from others. Or burn them to a cinder.
Hello! How do you interpret a court card when it talks about someone's intention or what they think about you? They usually talk about people's personality or situations, so I'm a little lost here
Tarot’s Court Cards as Someone’s Thoughts or Intentions
As with interpreting the cards as someone’s feelings, it is usually a straightforward translation. Just take the personality and change its formation.
KNIGHT OF WANDS
Personality: Passionate, Sexual
Thought: He thinks you are worthy of his passion.
Intention: He wants to have sex with you.
QUEEN OF CUPS
Personality: Kind, Loving
Thought: She thinks you deserve her kindness.
Intention: She wants a loving connection with you.
KING OF PENTACLES
Personality: Reliable, Stable
Thought: He thinks you are reliable like himself.
Intention: He wants a stable relationship with you.
But sometimes, you need to read between the lines.
KNIGHT OF SWORDS
Personality: Ambitious, Violent
Thought: He thinks he can use you to attain a goal.
Intention: He wants to tie you up and choke you.
QUEEN OF PENTACLES
Personality: Helpful, Giving
Thought: She thinks you are pitiful.
Intention: She wants to make you her charity case.
KING OF WANDS
Personality: Energetic, Youthful
Thought: He thinks you can match him in bed.
Intention: He wants to have a fling with you.
How to Close a Reading, as My Grandma Taught Me
“Interpreting the last card does not mean you are done. You have ten more things to do before the reading is through.”
1. Count the major arcana.
The more there are, the stronger the reading’s predictions will impact the querent’s life. If there are none or just one, almost none of it will matter in the long run.
2. Note the sequence of the major arcana.
If the querent is asking about someone, and the major arcana are between 0 and 16, that person is not meant to stay in their life. If the question is about a dream or an opportunity, and the cards fall between 17 and 21, it will manifest completely.
3. Count the cards from each suit.
The presence of all suits predicts a balanced outcome. More Wands means strong passion. More Swords means anxiety or manipulation. More Cups means the heart is running the show. More Pentacles means wealth is about to diminish or grow.
4. Mind the aces and the tens.
Two or more aces means the situation is only just beginning. Two or more tens means it is now coming to a good or bad ending.
5. Note the multiples between two and nine.
Twos mean clever thinking is of paramount importance. Threes speak of infidelity or the need for cooperation. Fours guarantee stability, just as sixes do harmony. Fives and sevens spell difficult challenges, but eights and nines promise that the labor is almost over.
6. Regard the ruling colors.
A dominant black predicts burdens and hindrances. Red and yellow combined ensure passion, clarity and manifestation. Blue and white together advise that the solution can be found through spirituality and intuition.
7. Count the court cards.
Nine times out of ten, court cards are people, not influences. They are doing the manipulation or they need to be manipulated.
8. Notice the suits of the courts.
Wands and Swords are friendly. So are Cups and Pentacles. Any other combination spells rivalry and obstacles.
9. Watch where the cards are facing.
“Is the woman in The World looking at The Tower? A tragedy has to occur before success can take over. Is the King of Cups facing away from his Queen? Their relationship is suffering. His love for her has begun fading.”
10. Look at the bottom of the deck.
If the outcome is good, embodying this energy will make it even better. If the outcome is bad, this is the hidden connection that needs to be severed.
How does one become more intuitive?
Sure-Fire Ways to Master Your Intuition
1) Scry Half Asleep
Go to a quiet place, and dim the lights.
Close your eyes and ask your higher power a question.
Pay attention to what you see. Names… numbers… faces… dates.
Once the visions stop, open your eyes and note them down.
After a few days, see if and how they manifested.
I once saw an old clock and heard the word “Praha”. I ended up being sent to Prague on a fully paid trip unexpectedly.
At first, your visions will mean nothing. They will be shallow. A McDonald’s signage… A TV commercial… This is your intuition warming up. Soon enough, it will be sprinting. As long as you keep going.
2) Designate People to Tarot
To a beginner, the characters in tarot can feel out of reach and intimidating. Bring them down to earth.
Does Strength remind you of your mother? Is she calm and fearless in the face of danger?
Does The Fool remind you of Harry Potter? Isn’t he young and untrained, but rich in nerve and courage?
Do you see yourself in the Seven of Pentacles? Always planting seeds that are never quite ripe enough for harvest?
The next time you read tarot, you will not be seeing strangers, but people you know at heart. This is how your intuition can connect to the cards.
3) Record Your Dreams
Keep a journal on your nightstand.
The moment you wake up, write down what you remember. No matter how meaningless, no matter how strange.
Did you see yourself naked in public? Or late for class? Perhaps falling from a building? The theme here is fear.
Did you see a younger version of yourself? In a playground? Maybe eating a snack no longer sold today? The theme is nostalgia.
Analyze your own dreams. Research them online if you like.
This is you bridging the gap between your conscious and subconscious. This is you taming your intuition.
4) Know People’s Zodiac Signs
Be curious about your teachers’, superiors’ and peers’ astrological personality, even if only through their Sun sign.
Watch how the Air signs harmonize with Fire, yet clash with Earth and Water.
See how a Scorpio is quiet and subtle in her intensity, while an Aries is loud with his.
Life is complicated, and people are complex. But if you can understand their basic instincts, you will make fewer enemies and more friends.
More importantly, your intuition will be able to warn if a person wishes you harm.
5) Devour Literature
For all the intricacies of life, every feeling that has ever been felt has already been recorded.
See movies. Read books. Really hear the words. Really watch the expressions.
Understanding characters is a step to understanding people, which ultimately leads to understanding yourself.
It will help you realize that intuition is not a supernatural being that can never be quite grasped. You will find that it and you have always been one right from the start. 🌹
Hi! I wanted to know how one would seek knowledge regarding which divine they connect with? Your family has a long bloodline of worship. How would you recommend I go about searching about the ancient divine in other places of the world? My family has strong mystical abilities, and my parents and I have the same instinctive draw to certain lands/cultures/beliefs. Christians wiped our history, so no knowledge or proper tools allowed my family to harness, only the stars and our intuition. Thank you
Using Tarot to Find Your True Gods
The old gods do not respond to someone whose bloodline or birthright they do not recognize. This is why no one should pick deities based on aesthetics. If you are drawn to paganism, but do not know where you belong, use tarot as a guide to the gods of your past lives.
Step 1: Invoke your higher self.
Find a quiet place where the lights are dim and the air is cool. Take deep breaths until you are calm and focused. Overhand shuffle your cards, while asking your higher self, “Whose mortal child am I?”
Step 2: Draw your cards.
Take the card from the top of the deck and the one at the bottom. If, while shuffling, any cards jumped out and landed face side up, take them too. Otherwise, put any rogues back in the deck.
Step 3: Find your gods.
Gaze at the cards you drew… and wait for your past lives’ memories to come back to you.
Did The Hanged Man play tricks with your eyes and a grew a beard for a split second? You saw Odin.
Did the jackal in the Wheel of Fortune give you a vision of the desert? Look to the religion of ancient Egypt.
Did the laurel wreath in the Six of Wands transport you to a windy place with dark blue seas? Follow the footsteps of the ancient Greeks.
Did the Ten of Pentacles seem to rearrange itself into a tree? That symbol is Kabbalistic. Turn to Jewish mysticism.
Did you suddenly think of Spain when you saw the red and yellow in The Magician? Explore the mythology of the ancient Basques. There you will find your gods.
Hi Diana, I would like to learn how to calculate birth time and date using cartomancy (tarot or other forms). Thank you.
How to Use Tarot to Find Your Rising Sign
The Rising sign or the Ascendant replenishes the Sun sign whenever it needs nourishment, hence its importance in a natal chart. But those who do not know the time of their birth have no way of determining theirs. Thankfully, tarot can help. But if you already know your Ascendant, know that tarot hates being tested.
Step 1: Create the backdrop.
Take out the Kings, Queens and Knights from your deck, and lay them in the order of the Zodiac sign they represent.
Aries - Queen of Wands
Taurus - King of Pentacles
Gemini - Knight of Swords
Cancer - Queen of Cups
Leo - King of Wands
Virgo - Knight of Pentacles
Libra - Queen of Swords
Scorpio - King of Cups
Sagittarius - Knight of Wands
Capricorn - Queen of Pentacles
Aquarius - King of Swords
Pisces - Knight of Cups
Step 2: State your case.
As you overhand shuffle the rest of your deck, tell the powers that be that in knowing the details of your birth, you have been unlucky. And so you need their help to discover which sign was on the Eastern horizon the moment you were born.
Step 3: Lay the cards.
Drawing from the top of your deck, lay a card on every piece of the backdrop, starting with the Queen of Wands, proceeding row by row, and ending with the Knight of Cups. Keep doing so until both the cards representing your Sun sign and its Ruler have been dealt.
THE SUN SIGNS
Aries - The Emperor
Taurus - The Hierophant
Gemini - The Lovers
Cancer - The Chariot
Leo - Strength
Virgo - The Hermit
Libra - Justice
Scorpio - Death
Sagittarius - Temperance
Capricorn - The Devil
Aquarius - The Star
Pisces - The Moon
THE RULERS
Mars (Aries) - The Tower
Venus (Taurus and Libra) - The Empress
Mercury (Gemini and Virgo) - The Magician
Moon (Cancer) - The High Priestess
Sun (Leo) - The Sun
Pluto (Scorpio) - Judgement
Jupiter (Sagittarius) - Wheel of Fortune
Saturn (Capricorn) - The World
Uranus (Aquarius) - The Fool
Neptune (Pisces) - The Hanged Man
Step 4: Weigh your options.
Where your Sun sign and its Ruler land are the two options for your Ascendant.
Ask yourself, “Based on my behaviors, attitudes and personality, which one has the truth of it?”
In the above example, the querent is a Scorpio Sun. In the first round of dealing, Judgement — the card of Pluto, Scorpio’s Ruler — landed on the King of Pentacles, which represents Taurus. That is Option 1.
But in the second round of dealing, Death — the card of Scorpio — landed on the same card, the King of Pentacles. So there is no second option. The powers that be have declared that the querent’s Ascendant is indisputably Taurus.
Step 5: Express your gratitude.
Thank your cards and the powers that be for letting you know a crucial part of your destiny.
Absolutly in love with your blog/pick a card ! Also Big fan of your tarot spreads, do you have one for love reading ? Thanks 💙💙
It is not your traditional spread in that I have a conversation with my deck instead.
How to Use Tarot to Identify Your Soulmate
• There are ten things to ask. Overhand shuffle your cards for every question.
• The card on top and the one at the bottom of the deck are the pair that gives every answer. Read them together.
• Note down each answer, as you need to put them back. The deck should always have 78 cards each time you ask.

What does the Queen of Pentacles mean for physical attraction?
It means there is no physical attraction whatsoever.
How Hot are Tarot’s Kings & Queens?
The King of Wands
He leads the pack. His face is naturally attractive. His body is usually between bulky and slender, making him the perfect size, per society’s standards. The way he carries himself is the ideal blend of carefree and sultry. In his current age, he is the likes of Brad Pitt. Back as a knight, he was Stefanos Tsitsipas in sports and Damon Salvatore in fiction.
The King of Cups
This king is not always physically attractive. He may be too skinny, too fat or too short for most of society. But even so, his sex appeal, intelligence or mysteriousness usually puts him on par with the King of Wands. Leonardo DiCaprio was a Knight of Wands who matured into a King of Cups. Keanu Reeves is another example.
The King of Pentacles
Objectively, he is just as — if not more — attractive than the King of Wands. But due to his funny or nice guy image, he is never quite as magnetic as the first two. There is just no enigma that draws. This king tends to be very bulky. He is Marvel’s Thor, and Henry Cavill. Jason Momoa is another, though his character Khal Drogo is a King of Wands.
The King of Swords
He is the least attractive. When the King of Cups presents as distant, he comes off as mysterious and thus even more enticing. When the King of Wands does the same, he comes off as a bad boy — a type many are drawn to. But when this king does so, he becomes invisible or repelling. Think Severus Snape, Stannis Baratheon and BBC’s Uther Pendragon.
The Queen of Wands
Leading the pack with natural beauty and a loud personality to match is the Queen of Wands. She was Angelina Jolie back when she was being portrayed as the other woman. She is Katherine Pierce and a younger Cersei Lannister in fiction. She is Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks with their very public feud.
The Queen of Cups
She is also beautiful. But her beauty is considered safe, compared to the Queen of Wands’. In other words, she looks like an angel, not a homewrecker. She is actress Anne Hathaway and The Lord of the Rings’ Arwen. A younger version would be Sansa Stark or Daenerys Targaryen in the earlier parts of the show.
The Queen of Swords
She wants no man. And if we consider only her average to above-average looks, we would assume it is because she knows no man would want her back anyway. But her strength, cruelty or intelligence makes her attractive to many. She is Bellatrix Lestrange in fiction. She is Sigourney Weaver at her best, courtesy of her infamous tough woman roles.
The Queen of Pentacles
She does not look terrible. She is on par with the Queen of Swords, though she is far more feminine, of course. But nobody marries her for passion. Men look at her and think she would be a loyal wife and a caring mother. That is all. She is how Jennifer Aniston was portrayed by Brangelina’s fans. She is Catelyn Stark, when compared to Cersei Lannister.

The Best Couples in Tarot According to My Grandma
King of Wands and Queen of Cups
He loves to be adored, and she loves to obsess. They fit each other like a glove. It is an everlasting love.
King of Cups and Queen of Wands
He is gentle and kind. She is intense and wild. He is the calm to her storm. She is the fire that keeps him warm.
King of Swords and Queen of Pentacles
He has dreams of his own, and so does she. Beside each other, they achieve them together, individually.
King of Pentacles and Queen of Swords
She is hardened by battle. But his touch is warm and gentle, melting down her armor. She knows he would never harm her.
Knight of Wands and Queen of Cups
He likes to roam around. Unselfish, she allows it. And he realizes that such kindness is all the bliss he needs.
Knight of Pentacles and Queen of Pentacles
He likes to take his time. And there is no one more patient than her. A match made in heaven is what they are together.
King of Wands and Queen of Wands
They are two flames that never die. Together they can only grow bigger and glow brighter than ever.
Knight of Swords and Queen of Swords
She sees her younger self in him. And she is the one he strives to be. This is why they treat each other always so endearingly.
Knight of Cups and Queen of Wands
He loves himself above all. She is the same about herself. But in each other they find somebody they can love just as strongly.
King of Cups and Queen of Cups
They are two fountains of affections that never quite run dry. Together their waters reach up to the sky.
have you ever done a reading for somebody and you didn’t see anybody in their love life/read that they would be alone?
The Forever Alone Cards in Tarot
The Hermit
There is no one more alone than The Hermit. He lives and dies by himself. But he is not necessarily lonely. Sometimes it is by choice that he is solitary.
Nine of Pentacles
A career woman or a trust fund baby, the Nine of Pentacles rarely needs anybody. Already basking in self-abundance, a partner would only be redundant.
The High Priestess
She is not of this world. Too enlightened is her soul to be consumed by romantic passion. She is married only to sorcery. Her faithful companion is prophecy.
Five of Cups
After the pain of the Three of Swords comes the grief of the Five of Cups. With his heart and soul fully broken, he needs time before he can love again.
The Hanged Man
Something is wrong, within or without. His soul cannot unite before setting it right. Sometimes it is fixed by November. Other times, it lasts forever.
Queen of Swords
She is a widow who vowed never to love again, or someone who enjoys her own company better than anybody. Either way, she will always push love away.
When at least two of them appear in a spread, augmented by the absence of a Knight or a King, the querent will never wear a wedding ring.
a Scorpio, a Leo and an Aquarius rising at a party
T H E A Q U A R I U S W O M A N
She is neither here, nor there. Maybe you’ve seen her on a bus, or on a train, or in a dream.
She is the cosmic traveler; a passing stranger you’ve seen before. Her mind says she is here for everyone, her soul says she belongs to no one.
Like a bird, she is always moving. She gets high off liberation— the view of life from way above; head in the clouds. She may never come down.
everytime i read post about the rising signs, there's always people saying things like how scorpios and cap rising are so hot or pisces so sweet or libras so charming and beautiful, like every rising has something beautiful about them but then when I look at my aquarius rising desc it's always stuff like " weird looking, strange vibe " honestly just call us ugly it will be faster urg
