MMR had 'Hikaru' kissing Yoshiki in her now deleted Pixiv artwork (or they looked like them, I remember the faces being somewhat obscured). As in, something that looked like more of a purposeful kiss than the "I'm putting a part of me inside you" scene from the pilot. I think it was outside of school under the tree shade, or something? I thought I'd downloaded it, but I've been unlucky at finding it again.

Regardless of that (now deleted) art, with the non-zero amount of freaky art of 'Hikaru' biting different parts of Yoshiki's body that I think she has still up, I have no doubts that she's drawn them in far more suggestive scenarios. But I also have no doubt that if she posted that, people would use it as proof that 'Hikaru' cannot be aroace, or that their relationship can be nothing else but undeniably romantic, and that MMR knows that very well too.

Yeah, it's that one! Looks like I was misremembering it a little, though: that looks like it's set at the park that has appeared a few times in the story, rather than outside the school.

Funny that yeah, the shoes are different while the bags (and uniforms) look similar. There's some other interesting details there like the melting papicco (?) and the trail of ants, but the onomatopeia used for the cicada cries is different from the serialization. Really looks like a very early prototype kind of drawing for TSHD overall.

Going back to the original topic, one of the "bad ends that Yoshiki avoided" that are mentioned in Vol.6 involves a scenario named "If Yoshiki had used 'Hikaru' for his own convenience" that sounds very similar to me to the storyline of "A classmate who'll do anything for you", but with fatal consequences in this case.

Yoshiki's blush (?) when he tells 'Hikaru' that he needs to obey him, 'Hikaru's "so this is that 'love'" answer... If MMR has given it enough thought to include it as a bad ending, then I say it's likely she has also drawn something for it. Yoshiki accusing 'Hikaru' of using him for his own pleasure the second time that he puts his hand inside him could even be a remnant-derivation off this. Not that we will ever know.

Ohhh this comic, i always interpreted it as Yoshiki not caring about Hikaru's new identity and forcing him to follow social/human rules, and as a rebound effect, Hikaru innocently thinks he can force him to follow his "monster rules" too

This ends up contradicting Yoshiki's gentle nature, which accepts differences and doesn't put people in boxes, and thanks to this, Hikaru reflects that gentleness as well!

And i personally think that was the most realistic possibility because Yoshiki does indeed have a bossy side

Just as Hikaru has his monstrous side, but they control that part of themselves in each other's presence

Ah, that's kinda how I read another one of the other bad endings instead. The one that ends up with everyone dead, because Yoshiki just keeps pretending and forcing 'Hikaru' into the mold of Hikaru, rather than developing a new relationship with him and letting him be his own, uh... monster-person-self?

Oh that's true! So i think the previous comic would be more about Yoshiki's bossy side destroying their relationship, while this one is about him pretending that everything is fine and that Hikaru is human/or the old Hikaru

Regarding the parallels with "a classmate who'll do anything for you", i don't think that would be the case since one of Yoshiki's difficulties is depriving himself of pleasure.... there's many fanfics where Yoshiki takes advantage of Hikaru's innocence to touch him the way he would have liked to touch og Hikaru, but i think for that to happen he would have to accept that he's gay lol 😄 (even if only in his own mind) and he could barely look at his crush's body without freaking out

That's why i made a post here once about how Hikaru's aggressiveness in achieving his own pleasure was cathartic for Yoshiki, who's always denying himself
