Harlequin is very playful, and he lives for getting reactions out of others. Knowing you're someone special to Pierrot just makes you an even better target for him.
At first, his interactions with you are heavily influenced by his rivalry with Pierrot, and that's the only reason he gets close to you in the beginning: to provoke a reactions out of Pierrot. But once he really sees you, he might fall for you.
He just doesn't know what to do with it.
Harlequin also does exhibit a few personality traits that are fairly common in the youngest sibling, which makes sense since he's the youngest of the members in the circus.
Harlequin is described as a sadist, especially since his first few interactions with you were intentionally to steer you away from Pierrot, without a regard to how it affected you as a person.
He's naturally charming, extremely playful, and quite seductive. Also incredibly good at turning the tables.

He's a little awkward about being in a relationship with you at first. He didn't even expect to make it this far. Harlequin doesn't know what love truly is, or what to do with it. The story with Columbina was more so him being jealous of what Pierrot enjoyed and had that he didn't, so he messed with it. But with you, it's difference. Even if he won't admit it out loud, he wants to make this work, flaws and all.
He flirts constantly. He always has, and always will. But now that you're together, there's always something unnerving beneath it. He’ll smile while saying something sweet, and then lean just close enough to make you realise he’s studying your reaction more than your actual verbal response.
He still enjoys flirting with you to tease you however, that doesn't change about him. If you glare at him after he said something completely outrageous in public, he'll grin like he'd just won the lottery.
Physical affection with Harlequin is constant, and often a little invasive on his part. Most of the time, it's minor little things like hooking his clawed-fingers around your wrist, leaning over your shoulder, fixing your clothes without asking, resting his chin on your head. All the cute touchy things.
But that doesn't stop him from groping at you with people all around, his hands wandering down to where they probably shouldn't go in broad daylight. He's a super touchy person, and he absolutely invades your personal space on purpose, because Harlequin adores making you hyper-aware of him. It amuses him loads.
If someone else gets a little too friendly with you, he gets jealous. But his demeanour mostly stays the same outwardly. If anything, his smile gets increasingly sharper. Harlequin doesn't always confront people directly, but if it gets too much, sometimes he will just insert himself between you and them. Afterwards, he'll be extra clingy with you for some attention.
He loves having your attention, and therefore hates being ignored. if you purposefully avoid him after an argument, he becomes completely unbearable. He'll start appearing everywhere, mocking you for "being cruel" and keep following you around until you finally react.
Arguments with him are pretty messy in general because he enjoys pushing your buttons a little too much. Sometimes he'll keep provoking you even when he knows he should stop. But afterward, he'll hate the silence between you more than anything.
Harlequin also seems like the type of guy to kiss you mid-argument, especially if he was in the wrong, just so you would shut up. He thinks it's a little romantic, and he enjoys the fluster on your cheeks while you try to remember what you were saying before.
He remembers every compliment you give him, even casual ones. He acts fearless and playful, but genuine vulnerability terrifies him.
Deep down, Harlequin wants someone who sees through all the performance, but stays anyway. Someone who understands that beneath all the theatrics and manipulation is someone terrified of being forgettable.
He enjoys dressing you up, or choosing accessories for you. Harlequin cares very much about appearances and how he looks. He’d love to do the same for you.

Harlequin romanticises unhealthy attachments a lot. He likes the idea of being someone’s entire focus, and he can start viewing emotional dependence as a proof of love. He enjoys being the center of your emotional world, and a healthy amount of independence (on your part) can make him feel strangely threatened.
He pushes boundaries for amusement. Sometimes he genuinely doesn’t stop to consider whether someone is uncomfortable because he’s too entertained by their reactions. He does it often without realising how intense he's being.
Manipulation comes naturally to him. He has a habit of treating relationships like games to test loyalty and withholding affections to get reactions.
Harlequin hates feeling ignored, as I mentioned before. If he thinks you’re pulling away, he may often escalate his behaviour instead of taking a breather and backing off.
He’s very good at reading people emotionally, which means he knows exactly where to poke when he wants a reaction. During arguments, he can get mean if he feels hurt enough. Apologies aren't really his thing so he’d rather deflect with humor or charm than openly admit wrongdoing.
Occasionally, he may stir conflict just to feel less bored.
But underneath his charming and theatrical persona, Harlequin is someone deeply afraid of abandonment and irrelevance, but instead of expressing that fear normally, he chooses other methods.
Overall, Harlequin's red flags are manipulation, teasing too much, being too clingy and never taking responsibility. Also a little sex-crazed.

If it wasn't obvious already, Harlequin is a huge freak. Unlike the other circus members, this (not really) little prick is horny all the damn time. He's seductive for a reason, angels. And as his partner, you're getting the best brunt of it. He'll tire you out, there's no way you can match his sexual activeness.
Harlequin treats intimacy like another form of performance art. It's dramatic, overwhelming, and either emotionally charged or none at all. There's no in between. He enjoys the tension prior to sex just as much as the actual payoff.
He's barely 6'1, and also has a lean build. Since he's an acrobat, Harlequin is quite nimble on his feet, and very agile. His movements are smooth, not rough or jerky.
I'm sure we all know about his lovely forked tongue, and what he isn't packing in size, he's got numbers. Harlequin has two appendages that are around 7 inches.
He's also a switch, but you wouldn't really be able to tell since h prefers being top most of the time anyway.
