           The one day he’d decided he’d attend class in weeks and he showed up too late to participate in the first of the day. Left with no choice but to wait, he’d hoped to do so alone. It seemed like Kaede had other plans.

           Nishi glared through the corners of his eyesight as an intruder settled in his peripherals. Sliding away from the spot the stranger silently coveted, a sigh of disgust oozed from between drawn lips. On a breezy day like today, a warm patch of skin was rejuvenating to the soul… It vexed him to be forced to give it up. All in the name of being anti-social, he supposed. Joichiro wrapped himself around his knees, another accusatory glance shot Kaede’s way.

           “If you move closer, I’ll disconnect your cock from your pelvis and feed it to you, dickweed.”

looking  down  from  him  (  for  kaede  was  at  a  great  height  )  ,  he  gave  a  grin .  ❛     you  could  try ,   sssure .  though  i  don’t  know  why  you  think  i’d  want  to  move  close  to  a  wretch  like  you  …  ego ,  i  suppossssse .  a  pity ,  i  thought  that  there  might  be  a  reasonable  kid  here ,  for  once .     ❜

amused  at  the  disgust  that  wafted  from  the  other ,  his  eyes  were  a  contented  blue ,  this  time ,  as  he  stretched  out  across  the  stairs .  eyelids  closing ,  his  tongue  flicked  out  as  he  paused  to  rest .  he  was  a  nocturnal  animal  by  nature ,  after  all .

     Well that wasn’t the reaction he had been expecting, but he could work with it. Then again, it was an expected reaction, especially so late at night.

     “Just visiting the grounds again. It’s been awhile since I was last here, and I like to meet the new potential heros here.” Maybe he should have visited earlier that day instead of now, but at this time, it was easier to harass the teachers that stayed here late. He wanted to say ‘hello’ before he turned in for the night himself.

he  wasn’t  sure  how  much  he  trusted  the  other’s  words .  ❛     i  ssseee  …  but  sssurely  it  would  be  more  beneficial  in  the  afternoon  or  morning ,  when  more  students  are  here  ?     ❜

most  of  the  teachers  had  gone  home ,  so  it  was  less  likely  that  it  was  to  look  at  the  students’  files .  but  he  had  access  to  the  school ,  so  there  really  wasn’t  anything  kaede  could  do  except  accept  what  the  other  said .

His first thought ( naturally ) is to make an attempt to strangle the other with the thin sheet - a viper to his python, taller than him, and thus too easily graced by the ability to look down on him. Already his thoughts mingle with the idea of starting something dramatic, like prompting the other a favor and tearing off more than just dead skin, but he holds his tongue and simply watches as the other sheds.

   ❝ If you keep screwing around, you’re probably going to get ‘ exorcised, ‘ you know. Not everybody’s as stupid as you must think they are. Not to mention, I could use a new snake for my kodoku pot… ❞

The son of a businessman and a shaman; drawing close when the others sped by faster and farther - he wonders if he might ever have to go through the same thing; if he would end up reaching similar assumed monstrosities and be cursed to crawl out of himself time after time again. If he was a conman he could sell the skin, but instead he simply starts to gather it - if the other couldn’t be bothered to properly throw it away, then he would do the favor.

he  found  it  humorous  that  the  other  felt  so  threatened  by  his  presence  to  act  in  such  a  way .  (  or  so  he  preferred  to  read  the  other’s  actions ,  he  considered ,  tongue  flicking  out  into  the  open  air .  )  he  gave  a  wide  smile  at  the  other’s  words ,  waiting  for  the  other  to  finish  before  speaking .

a  nonchalant  position ,  he  leans  back  slightly  to  stare  up  at  the  sky .  ❛     they  wouldn’t  dare .  &  if  they  tried ,  well  …  i’d  rip  them  to  ssshreds .     ❜  &  what  did  the  other  mean  by  him  thinking  others  were  stupid ?  no ,  just  incapable ,  if  anything .

he  watches  the  other  pick  up  his  remains ,  he  considers .  ❛     where  would  you  suggest  i  put  it ?  i  don’t  care  to  have  it  around  my  house .     ❜

     There were many naysayers in her youth who tried to convince her that she could be nothing more than a simple support who could do nothing on her own. They were partially true, but they always said it because they didn’t think she would be enough for even the support classes. She worked even harder to prove them all wrong.

❛     yesss  …  &  i  confessss  …  i  have  enjoyed  proving  them  wrong .     ❜  bending  down  further ,  he  moved  into  a  sort  of  crouch .  &  he  felt  inexplicably  proud  of  the  other  for  making  it  so  far .

❛     even  knowing  you  asss  little  as  i  have  …  i  am  sssure  that  you  will  make  a  fine  hero .     ❜  his  words  aren’t  warm  —  if  anything ,  rather  passive ,  though  he  itched  to  support  her  —  but  she  didn’t  need  it ,  did  she .  (  was  he  overprotective  of  those  with  animal  quirks ?  yeah .  didn’t  mean  he  wouldn’t  eat  them ,  though  …  )
