Guidance System

Auburn University have created a system that lets owners to guide dogs remotely through a software system that translates commands into senses such as touch. It has a specially designed harness fitted with gps sensors, a central processing unit and a wireless modem that connects with a base computer that the owners can use to keep track of their dogs and issue commands. The harness vibrates on the left and right sides issues sounds that the dog recognizes as commands.

The material is made up of grains left over from the brewing process, making it edible, compostable, and biodegradable.

Petcube is a great way to connect with your pet through technology. Petcube camera is an interactive camera that lets owners see, talk and play with their pets remotely from their phones. It is as small as a grain of rice. The computer chip is kept in a special type of glass and is made to be suitable for your dogs living tissue. The chip is implanted between the dogs shoulder blades, under the skin with a needle and syringe. The chips do not need to be replaced or charged. You need to have a membership with the microchip company and register with them. Microchips don't have gps, the lost dog has to be scanned by a chip reader to be able to find the owner of the dog.

Some facts about Noel Fitzpatrick The Super Vet ! • He’s a pioneer.

• Noel practice is unique for pets. His vision for his practise is to create an environment where he could combine care with excellence in veterinary medicine. He hates cages, so the dogs and cats that come to his practise are kept behind glass doors instead of cages. They get airbeds, blankets a tv and radio also. For treatment there is an MRI scanner, a CT scanner, a hydrotherapy pool, an underwater treadmill and three operating theatres.

• He loves to treat wild animals. He said “I’ll treat any wild animal”. “Hedgehogs are my favourite”.

•Noel sleeps at the surgery. “This place is my life. I eat here, I sleep in a room next to the animals and my team is my family”.

•Noel is single. He’s married to his work and his partner would need to understand the hours he works and his commitment to the job.

• He does it for the love and not the money.

Noel Fitzpatrick is best known as an Irish veterinary surgeon. He was lots of academic achievements and he is a professor and founding member of orthopaedics in the school of veterinary medicine at the university of Surrey. He has his own private referral practice (Fitzpatrick referrals) in Surrey. Here he creates new technology to help animals in any way he possibly can. I will be talking more about him in further posts.
