Furby!
Not the best picture (they are a little freaked right now), but aren't they just adorable? New arrivals from a deceased Momma on the side of the road (bless her heart). Please always be sure to check in pouches...you might just save a life (or maybe even 5)! Thankfully these 5 are in great shape...just a few fleas, but not injured. Don't worry Momma...we promise to take care of your babies. Wish it could have been you raising them though 😥, but we will do our best. Thank you to the wonderful woman who cared enough to stop, check, and save these lives
Pouch Potato! Oh Logan....you are just so darn cute!
Sunday snoozing!
Red the cat is not a happy cat.....:( ....Why you ask?.......because his bed has been taken! Red not happy...chicken very happy!
And you thought you were having a bad day.........bet this guy's not so great day can top yours!! Hit by a car and survives it only to land in some barbed wire....don't know how he did it, but he got out of it and wandered off into the woods. Calls were made to the FWC and so thankful to Officer Wear who got this guy with his bare hands!
Asian Water Buffalo horn lock. Thankfully they were separated with no injury to each other, except a portion of Bindi’s horn had to be cut off.

Animis Foundation (based in Ocala, Fl) is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of domestic animals and wildlife. We are a 501©(3) nonprofit organization and have had our sanctuary open to Marion County and surrounding areas since 2010. Over 600 animals now call Animis Foundation their home, including horses, goats, pigs, emu, domestic fowl, exotic birds, squirrels, sugar gliders, dogs, cats, ferrets and more. We rescue and release over 500 animals back into the wild each year.
Our organization relies entirely on donations from caring people like you!
Lately, funds at Animis Foundation have become tighter than usual, and some of our residents are at risk of being rehomed due to the possibility of being unable to cover the expenses for their care. We estimate that $120,000 would feed and medicate the animals for one year. To sustain the foundation more permanently, we will be investing time in grant writing along with other fundraising projects such as an online thrift store and general outreach to the online community. Our foundation relies on your generosity in order to keep its doors open for injured and sick animals, along with the ones to which we have made a promise of lifelong protection. Please keep in mind that no amount is too small, and anything donated is greatly appreciated. On behalf of all the animals who have been aided by Animis Foundation…thank you.
Our recently donated wildlife nests from Canada are already being put to good use! Squirrel Approved! They are loving them!
Happy Release Day to DeeDee (from the Villages Dunkin Donuts) and Wally (from Walmart)! Both of these sweeties came right after Irma. So lost and confused and just needed a little R & R. That's exactly what we gave them along with some good food and a lot of loving. DeeDee's ears healed up nicely and she looks so good now. Wally was having such a bad hair day when he arrived and was just plain worn out. They both gained weight and were so healthy, so we knew it was time for them to go be happy Opies. DeeDee took her time sniffing and exploring, but old Wally flat took off! Dee Dee was a little moody (to put it nicely), so I think Wally was relieved to get away from her! Be free!
Two dinosaurs.
These piebald whitetail deer were rescued from a canned hunting farm. They now forever have a safe home here at Animis.
Mark recently gave a tour of Animis, and the water buffalo were a huge hit!
Today was a special day at Animis! We hosted a tour for some of the kids in the community, and everyone absolutely had a blast :). Special thanks to JP for the amazing pictures!
