What can you tell me about brighid? What's she been like as you've worked with her?

I’ve been mulling over this question for a while trying to decide how best to answer, because to be honest, I could probably fill up volumes writing about Brighid and my experiences with her and still not feel like I’ve described it properly. But after taking some time amd thinking about it, I’ve come up with this - Brighid is strength.

Brighid is the strength to speak the truth in any situation. Brighid is the strength to seek justice against all odds. Brighid is the strength to love fiercely and with abandon. Brighid is the strength to radiate kindness in an unkind world. Brighid is the strength to go against the status quo. Brighid is the strength to create a warm, safe, and happy home. Brighid is the strength to get back up when you’ve been knocked down. Brighid is the strength of holding your boundaries. Brighid is the strength of practicing forgiveness. Brighid is the strength of learning to care for yourself.

In my experience, working with Brighid has been an encouragement to find that strength within myself. Working with Brighid is extremely rewarding, and her presence is very comforting. In my experience, she has never asked more of me than I could handle, but she has pushed me to be a better person. In her name I strive to be kinder, to be braver, to stand up more for those experiencing injustice. In her name I strive to bring comfort and safety to my friends, my family, and to anyone else who may need it.

🍪Pryaniki ~ Пряники🍪

My favorite kind of treat has to be these delicious honey and cinnamon flavoured cookies.😍😋👌 It’s like gingerbread on steroids.😂 Ingredients for the dough: 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 125g softened butter, 3 tbs honey, 1 tbs ground cinnamon, 1tsp soda, 2.5 cups wheat flour Ingredients for the glaze: 5 tbs sugar and 2 tbs milk Mix the sugar, eggs, soda, cinnamon and honey. Add the margarine (softened). Mix well, and place the mixing bowl in hot water bath for 10-15 min. Stir periodically. You will get a forthy mixture.

Add one cup of sifted flour. Stir and allow it to cool off. Add the remaining sifted flour. Mix well. Place the pryaniki on a baking sheet and bake in a oven at 180C (350F) for 7-12 min. 

While the pryaniki are baking, prepare the glaze: Mix the sugar and milk, put it over heat and bring to a boil and then simmer for 5-6 min.

Once the pryaniki are baked, brush on the hot glaze immediately, and let it cool.

Incorporating witchcraft/witchy things into your everyday life

I always get asked tones of questions on how to incorporate witchcraft into your daily routine so here are some ways that you could possibly do so

The tips:

- when you wake up you could burn incense or sage around your house and yourself to cleanse everything for a brand new day

- when drinking drinks like tea or coffee you can use the spoon to mix in a clockwise direction to increase something or anti clockwise to decrease something

- you can also draw a sigil in the bottom of your cup with honey and then add you drink on top

- when baking things with crust you can carve sigils into it to make your food more magickal and be filled with your intent

- set up an altar for your ancestors and pray to it everyday when you wake up or before bed, you can also leave offerings on there

- carry crystals or amulets you have made in your pocket or around your neck for them to work their magick

- enchant things such as makeup brushes or jewellery

- pretty self explanatory but you can write in your book of shadows or grimoire everyday

- have a moon chart which shows the stages of the moon each month and mark when you would like to practise your spells based on what moon phase will be most beneficial

- grow a garden filled with lots of different plants and trees and bushes, everyday go out and spend time in it to clear your mind and become more in tune with your spirituality and intuition

life cleansing tips:

- delete conversations between people you no longer talk to. its healthy to let go of the past and not letting yourself dwell on things.

- say kind things about people you like. say good things about yourself. don’t speak or think about people you don’t like.

- look in mirrors. you shouldn’t be afraid of facing yourself.

- clean sheets make clean sleep make clean minds

- allow yourself time to feel and grow. don’t be too hard on yourself for crying, you need to vent in order to move on to better times. even rainy days work towards sunny days.

- if things don’t work out, stop forcing them. there’s no reason for you to keep working and failing if there’s other places/people for you to excel and be happy.

- kiss your body, caress your body. make yourself feel loved.

- running away doesn’t always solve everything. sometimes, the reason that made you run will still be with you. focus on freeing yourself before starting anew.

- a glass of water and a good nights rest can go a long way

Astro Witch 101

So, you love astrology but have just realised that you are no longer just your sun sign. It’s a confusing and intimidating thing for a beginner astro-witch to see. That’s why I have decided to create a little guide to help anyone out. This will be the very basics but will be added to over time. Baby steps for baby-witches.

Terminology

Sun Sign = The controller. This is your main sign. The sign you have known your whole life thinking that’s where it ended.

Moon Sign = Your inner-self. Your emotions, inner-thoughts, wants and needs are all controlled by your moon sign.

Ascendant/Rising = Acceptably called either, the Ascendant/Rising is your natural mask in the face of society. So basically, this is how people view you.

Mercury = A very important sign, it rules your decision making mind. It is how you communicate and can be easy to spot in a person.

Venus = This sign rules love and finances.

Mars = Most represent Mars with anger, and this is true. But it is so much more than that. This sign rules our animal instincts, energy, action and sexual desires.

Jupiter = This sign covers rules both generosity, tolerance and wisdom.

Saturn = This sign represents fears, our limitations and responsibility

Uranus = This sign is all about individuality. Progressiveness, forward-thinking and fresh-starts.

Neptune = This sign rules the subconscious. Dreams, psychic-sensitivity and inspiration.

Pluto = This sign represents rebirth. New-beginnings and growth.
