"What is this video I see everywhere, you kiss some girl?"
"Oh, that's from the movie project I told you about!"
"Ohh, movie, okei!"
"What, did you get jealous?"
"No."
"You can tell me."
"Not jealous."
"Maybe a little bit?"
"Just worried."
"Worried?"
"But maybe it's so bad on purpose."
"What?!"
"Poor girl."
"Huh?"
"Look like her back hurt and maybe you bite her chin too."
"Listen here -"
"I think you need kissing lesson."
".... I don't, but go on."
"Yes, I think you need learn how to kiss really good."
"And I'm assuming you'd be the one to teach me?"
"How did you know?"
"Lucky guess. So when do we start?"
AHHH YES it totally happened
Related to this, once Bojan finally gets a gay role he's going to be so method about it. He's gonna have to ask for some help. For practising. For authenticity and for science!
how do you think they decided on "Tuu Mun Luo" as a title? I feel like there's an extra layer that the title is in Finnish. Maybe Jere had offered to translate it as "Come To Me" or another part of the song? But Bojan was "No. It's perfect as it is đ Just like you â€ïž"
Aha! Thank you for this, i have gone without yapping for too long. I'm going to be annoying about this btw. Like i know you were probably looking for some bojere bitching but i have to yap annoyingly first, okay? okay. (there is also bojere bitching at the end i promise)
The way i see it, this could be because of many things. Let's look at the different options, shall we:
It's a KÀÀrijÀ song, of course it's in finnish
He's not gonna be making music in other languages so why wouldn't it be in finnish? But then again, we have song titles like It's crazy, it's party, Sex = money, People's Champion and Trafik so hmm perhaps that is not the reason.
2. It's a deliberate attempt to break Bojan (and Joker Out) to a bigger finnish audience
Listen, they are the sons-in-law! Except, the wider audience still doesn't know them, because they're not played on the radio. Radio is actually still very very important in finland. In fact, this study tells us that
"According to the National Radio Survey, around 85% of Finns listened to the radio weekly in 2024. The Music Listening in Finland 2024 research by Teosto and IFPI Finland highlights radio's importance in discovering new music, with one in three listeners adding songs they hear on the radio to their Spotify playlists."
What is also true is that finnish people very clearly prefer music in the finnish language. From that same study we can see that pop music in the finnish language is far more popular than pop music in english, for example:
According to Yle, finnish people are also listening to more and more finnish music every year, and that audience's consuming of music by native artists is growing much more rapidly in finland than in other nordic countries. In 2024 ALL of finland's spotify top ten songs and albums were by finnish artists who perform in finnish, and taylor swift was the ONLY non-finn on the top ten list of most listened to artists. And she was like. Number 8. So not even in the top three or even top five.
Finland is a very, very difficult market to break into. (So actually maybe let it sink in for a bit that Joker Out has done it at all, to a point where they can headline a festival and play venues with capacities up to thousands of people and sell out. Because according to all of the FactsTM that's like... not supposed to be possible.)
So, having Bojan perform in finnish on this song is just a damn smart move if they want this song to perform well in finland. Like the fact of the matter is that it would NOT perform as well in any other language. It just wouldn't.
And if there is one thing finnish people love, it's an adorable foreigner making an honest attempt at learning our language. If they play this right, Bojan could seriously gain some real attention here.
So it could be a tactical move on top of being a creative choice.
3. Jere (and Allu and Sonny) wrote the song first, Bojan was chosen as the featuring singer after the fact
I do think it's possible that this really doesn't have anything to do with the Tallinn soundcheck shenanigans or anything like that. It's possible that it really did happen organically. That Jere and the boys had a new song, they wanted someone to sing on it, and for obvious reasons (= the song being homosexual) Jere wanted Bojan. And because the song already existed, it was like "hey Bojan, you wanna sing in finnish?" and Bojan being the langauge geek he is obviously said yes.
4. It's because Bojan asked Jere to teach him finnish phrases under the formulalakanat while they were giggling deep into the night after enjoying each others bodies and then Jere taught him all of these unhinged phrases and then they made a song using all of those phrases because they are gay homosexuals who are unable to be normal about each other for one (1) single second and like they think they're oh so clever and funny but in reality they're just kinda unbearable but hey we're here and we're enabling all of this so who is really to blame here i mean we have allowed this to happen and now they are about to have gay sex on a song that will be played to crowds of children the next time someone decides to book koko perheen kÀÀrijÀ to open a sporting event like who even knows maybe they will actually fuck on stage and we'll cheer them on because that's what it's like here these days
5. we wouldn't understand
--
tl;dr: gay in finland
EDIT: also i realise i did not answer the original question. it's tuu mun luo because they wanna come (to each other)
Bojan is so excited about their banger, I can't đ„čâ€ïž
Yeaaahh đ„č heâs so proud of their song that they made together! Their child <3
Also heâs probably so fucking annoying right now. No, heâs probably been so annoying since they finished the song. Heâs singing in all the time, heâs playing it all the time, heâs talking about it all. the. time. His friends are ready to send him back to Cyprus.
Heâs also so done with being a gatekeeper. He has had enough of watching Jere post ig-stories with the other artists he has made a song with! Heâs so ready to show every one of them that THEY! Me and You! Bojan and Jere! We are different! We are NOT like you! Also you donât even have a collab with him, BENJAMIN, or whatever his name is đ€ And like⊠yOu WouDnât EvEn UndErStAnd!!!!
Thing I am still, to this day, thinking about is what did Jere mean with "we are brothers... and maybe something more!"??
Jere what do you meannnnnn???
Hearing it live just felt so unreal đ
He meant exactly what he said: they are something more! Maybe they donât know what, and it doesnât even matter because itâs something good. Between us thereâs something. I can feel that. Something good.
So happy to give him this present to match his current outfit (and kink) đ This one was given him in Eura (adults only) gig, but he chose to wear it on bigger stage in Tapiola festivals all ages gig. Very suitable for san fransisco boy đđ» Clever guy!
