Little did we know, so much time had already passed-- yet none of us had really changed.

Overall, I'd say today was a well spent day filled with silly memories of the past.

Suddenly feeling so grateful tonight

In the midst of all the crazy changes that are currently taking place, I will never cease to forget those who I have met that continue to inspire me to become a better person. Thinking back, I am grateful for what I believe was so short yet felt so long of an opportunity that NLS had given me. You really can't believe in something so passionately unless you see it for yourself and thankfully, NLS had given me that taste of reality in Junior year of high school. I will never forget those who I have helped and those who have changed my perspectives about the truth behind the everyday struggles of working class Americans. As for the acquaintances for which fate had somehow decided to bring us together: I am grateful to know that you were so brave and willing to share your stories with me. Each story has truly etched footprints in my heart. One day, I hope to share with the world something just equally as empowering as I have taken away from every one of you.

Here's to a wonderful next four years of unforgettable life experiences, fun adventures, and philanthropy.

13 days until a new beginning, filled with wonderful changes that hopefully will help my character grow. I absolutely cannot wait.
