Very Late Update- but I caved in because of the summer sale and I got it!!! And I LOVE ITTTTTTTT!!!!!!!! It's 50% off! 9.99 dollars!!! REALLY Recommend it if you like cozy horror and some puzzles :3 (though it does contain flashing lights)

He may not identify with it in character but eh (I have the power hehe)

I feel like he will go from neutral (if the relationship is idealistically non hostile) to irritated from the increasing body temperature especially when he is resting from work that needs huge physical energy.

How would he react if he found out someone he slept with got him pregnant?

Theoretically, he will make sure the pregnancy will be terminated as soon as possible (some relic that can terminate the pregnancy most safely for him would be one of the best ways if he is not losing all his patience...yet-); additionally, it will be a bigger problem if his family has a genetic record of pregnancy that causes huge hormonal imbalances, which can sometimes lead to limb swelling or maybe other meidical difficulties :/

And in my curiosity, what are you all's opinions regarding whether Scroop sleeps around or how often he sleeps around?

(I kinda felt like I am one of the lazy ones who thinks he is too tired or too annoyed to sleep around :p)

If Mantavors reproduce like seahorses would that mean Scroop escaped home to avoid becoming a dad?

(I have encountered the mantavor with seahorse reproductive method anon as I have been blessed >:D)

It could be the sole reason-

It could be the primary reason, one of many reasons, or he probably just never thought about it for various reasons.

Maybe for him, this method of reproduction feels risky, or that he never thought about it because this method is normalized in mantavor society, and he is one of the mantavors who doesn't think much of it.

There are just so many maybes to how he could react :p

And hey, there could be even more reasons that could or didn't affect the possible ways if Scroop is trans, sex repulsed, aromantic, and/or etc :p

Now, for my own biased reason, currently: I feel like his escaping home to avoid becoming a father is not the only reason, and that it is one of the straws that broke the camel's back, including:

not being a prodigy at a young age that, for some reason, opens up more future life opportunities (is kind of a myth treated as a fact in Mantavor culture overall)

'wasting' the opportunity of taking the ranking exam (for context, this exam in my worldbuilding for Mantavor society is how the high academies will pick the students who have taken the exam and scored above the standard)

The home planet that he resides in really doesn't complement well with his work style

Try not to worry too much, since good news! I am mostly shit at the execution of drawing horror (^_^;). Just think of a drawing that feels like a rip-off of Junji Ito's horror artworks, haha

The only clue I can give you is that the pronunciation of the movie starts with zh- (not saying which language it is :)) )

I also have a question. In the cartoon, Scroop was the chief rigger, but what was his role in the pirate crew? And how did he meet Silver in the first place? Seriously, what was the cyborg thinking when he took Scroop on? Was he short on staff and had to accept what was offered? Or was Scroop special? It was clear from the start that he would only cause trouble. Or did Silver naively believe he could control the Mantavor?

(Sorry for responding to this at such a late time-)

At least in the canon materials that I am trying to interpret as unbiased as I could, it is up to interpretation ¯\_(._.)_/¯ with the ideas that you brought up, it could be an combination of those with varied percentages or even some other reasons that are not mentioned

I personally believed that Scroop is a huge double edged sword that Silver believed that if he knows how to ‘use him well’, it would lead to a situation where pros would out weigh the cons.

And I guess Silver is about half right but a huge problem is that Silver cannot be some panopticon or mind reading what Scroop is thinking especially in stressed situations where mistakes can become an massive butterfly effect.
