at some point i remember putting down my camera and i moved on from it altogether. i had a lot of reasons: i had a demanding full-time job, i was too prideful to seek help, i was envious of others, and i thought my life was going on the wrong track.
it took a long break from social media to unlearn these reasons and to remember how to make myself happy again. it’s strange when everything in life becomes about optimization — making more money, networking with important people, having a cool lifestyle, being a hip artist — because none of it is fun any more.
have you ever stopped doing something you really loved because it wasn’t fun any more?
