Book Of The Month: Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
Alright guys and gals July's Book Of The Month is...
Neverwhere: A Novel by Neil Gaiman
Gaiman is a best selling author who constantly comes out with captivating, original stories that don't allow me to stop reading.
The author of the best selling novel Stardust has created a story in which he paints a vivid picture within his reader's mind of "London Below"; a world filled with beasts, rat speakers, creature-like men, and others.
Honestly I have to set an alarm every time I open the book in order to stop reading it. I am so "sucked in" the story that I lose track of time.
I recommend this book to...
Alice in Wonderland Fanatics
Harry Potter Fans
Twilight Peeps
People who read Neil Gaiman books
Fantasy Genre Lovers
For a full synopsis on Neverwhere I recommend reading the Editorial Reviews and listen to the pros.
Where to get it...
Now, as much as I like the "atmosphere" of B&N and Borders and B.A.M. I don't like their pricing on books. I know they're doing what they can to stay afloat as the Kindle and the iPad dominate the world of books, but I buy all my books online. As I recommend you do too.
I use to shop around but after a few long minutes I always end up buying my books at the same place, Amazon. First off, yes, I love Amazon because they are one of - if not the most - convienant online retailer that I know, but they're also the cheapest!
For example, Neverwhere used is a little over $2!! Are you kidding me???
OK, I will calm down and retract my love for Amazon and stuff it deep inside; but I will leave you with this:
Read Neverwhere and Stardust - wherever you buy it - and you will not be disappointed. Guaranteed.
See you in London Below...
New Batman Dark Knight Rises Trailer

Below is the new Batman Dark Knight Rises trailer.
BUT!
Before you watch it, if you haven't seen the first two made by Christopher Nolan (Batman Begins and Batman: The Dark Knight) then you are a loser.
But really, you need to see them first. Here you can get them at Amazon - the cheapest place to get movies - for the low low. I bought both of my Batman movies here.
Batman Begins (Two-Disc Deluxe Edition)
The Dark Knight (Two-Disc Special Edition)

Spotify VS Pandora
They Greatest Battle Of Music The World Has Ever Scene!
(Que Mortal Combat Music)
I couldn't wait for it. The day Spotify came to the US I skipped the invitation list and got the Premium version of Spotify.
My ears have been in love ever since.
Though I pay $9.99 a month for Spotify I didn't buy the premium version of Pandora. I just felt no need to.
Why would I want to buy Pandora Premium? So I could stop the same Living Social commercial that came on once every hour? That's OK, "I Like Cupcakes".
Spotify on the other hand was worth the change. $9.99 a month and you can pretty much get any song or album right then and there; whether mobile or desktop.
There is NO BUFFERING and since I have the Premium version I can save my songs to listen offline. Are you kidding me? I feel like I'm stealing these songs!
...even though I'm paying for them -- but you don't have to pay for them. I just loved the product so much that it was worth it.
Now that I've placed Spotify on the highest of high pedestals, I want tell you that I don't think you should stop using Pandora. Actually, I think you should use Pandora even more!
Pandora has by far the best music algorithm out today. I can say they get the types of songs I want about 85% of the time. That's crazy good. They even give me songs I would have never found.
Spotify doesn't really do a good job promoting songs, its more of a "search engine for music". That's where Pandora can come in and save the day. If you've been using Pandora for awhile, then Pandora knows you. Pandora can guess what you want even when you can't think of it.
Let me explain how I use my "Spandora Combination", and I think you should use it too (like that? I made it up myself):
I first go to Pandora and look at all my bookmarked songs, then get them on Spotify. Throughout the day as I'm doing...whatever I'm doing (probably on my laptop)...I will get every song I "thumbs up" on Pandora on my iPhone. Or vice versa, with Pandora on my iPhone and Spotify on my laptop.
This combination is killer and I feel that Apple's iTunes is going to hurt BIG from this; but who cares, they make like, billions of dollars anyways right?
So, the winner is...
Finish him!!!
You.
Now you get the best of both worlds. Find music (Pandora), get music (Spotify).

UJAM - Making Music Easy, But Not Tooooo Easy
UJAM an online music creator just got EASIER, but not too easy.
What is UJAM?
UJAM allows you to create great music, no matter what skill level you're starting from. Whether you're a non-musician, a novice singer, or a skilled artist, you've got the tools at your fingertips to create professional-quality music now.
Well, it didn't start so easy.
After UJAM launched it never really got big due to its complicated UI. When developing UJAM the creators were surrounded by pros. So, their work came out like it was made for pros (can't blame em).
Now, they really tweaked up their UI and its looks awesome!
After playing with it for a little I found it ALLOT easier than before, but not at the same time. You got to remember, the more you "dummy down" something the more generic it gets.
You don't want to have something so professional that it appears like you're navagating through car manual in Japanese, but at the same time your don't want something so child-like that you get garbage quality. The balance is more difficult than most people think. They'll get it soon.
UJAM is definitely going in the right direction though.

Follow Your Bliss 101
It seems as I read more and more of Seneca's letter I am having things thrown at me that are not new to me, but things that I already know. Or at least I'd heard of, but not really known.
"Follow your bliss"
-Joseph Campbell
Follow your bliss. I have always heard it - and thought I knew it - but today I get a realization that I've never had before.
I was speaking with a buddy who is a partial owner of a restaurant with his brothers and asked him how his real estate business was going. After a long sigh he told me he was tired of it. Now, this man is pretty successful when it comes to real estate and he's not doing too bad even in this tough economic state our country is in.
He told me he doesn't have the - exact quote - "zill" he once had for it. He told me he grew out of it and grew into other things.
Now, this got me thinking. This man along with his brothers, which are twins, have done and been successful at numerous different ventures and at 47 he is still growing out of things and into others. Amazing! He has only started his restaurant business 1 1/2 years earlier and has big plans for it, but you would think that a man that is so good at real estate would just stay and become a "master" at his trade.
No he doesn't care about that - which I love and can relate to. See, he understands that a man grows out and into things throughout his life and by following his bliss and going after what he wants doesn't necessarily make him a "dabbler", or a "master of none". It makes him natural. It makes him humane. It makes him happy.
People tend to do what is socially right and put their passion behind them. They put their joy, their fire, their true self in the bottom of their priority list and say "I will do those things later". Then they forget, or later never comes, and if it did come they would have suppressed themselves so much that they wouldn't' even know who they are anymore!
We get caught up in what others tell us is right and never have the balls to go for what we really want to do in life. Why live a life that the world wants you to do when you don't want to. Who's living it? Them or you?
"Do what brings you joy and you will love your life. Follow your bliss."
I always thought that there was something wrong with me because I wanted to do so many different things. Things that were no where near the same category: Chef; Pilot; Actor; Filmmaker; Writer; Business Owner; Swimmer; Athlete; Explorer; Traveler; Import Exporter; Aerospace Engineer; Astronaut; etc. The list goes on!
The problem is that society doesn't like this. We should do one thing and do it for the rest of our lives they say.
The problem is that an ambitious person who just wants to "be them self" get scared and falls into society's trap. They get stuck in a trade that they do for majority or the rest of their lives and die asking the same question over and over again..."what if..."
Ask yourself this "what if": What if I didn't do what they said and lived life as if it was my life?
Guess what? It is your life. Its OK to be you and to want to do things that no one else wants to do; and live where you want to live; and be who you want to be.
This brings me back to the main point: Its OK for your passion to grow out of one thing and into another. Others will judge you, its OK, just...
Follow your bliss...and your life will always be filled with joy.
What do you love most about the country you live in?
Country filled with leaders

Squeeze The Lemons - The Power of Squeeze Pages
I have always been a fan of testing. Whether its testing a product, service, or market, I have loved the power of "true results".
If you where thinking about creating and selling a new DVD on how to base jump for dummys and went up to one of your friends and asked him if he would buy one if you made it, he would more than likely say yes. Now tell him you have 30 copies in your car right now. Lets see what his response would be then.
The difference is HUGE. This is the biggest misconception that people have about testing. They ask if you "would" rather than "will you"?
I'm a "will you" tester and I will always be. The cheapest and quickest method to get an income vehicle online is something called a Squeeze Page, or a Lead Page or Opt-In page.
A Squeeze Page is simply a one-page description of a great offer; product or service. The only thing they need to do is give their email address (opt-in). Once they give their email address and confirm that its correct then you will give them what you promised them.
What do you promise them?
Give them an offer they cant refuse...(Godfather voice)
Give them something FREE of course! You want to give them something of value and you want to give it to them FREE! Don't worry about giving your product or service away for free, this is only going to help you. Plus, you're only giving them a small portion of what you have to offer; a taste. If you truly have a great product or service then you can spare a taste.
How does this taste help me, you say? Because roughly 1% of people that land on your page buy what you have to offer. Do you know how many pay after they opt-in first?...... 5%!
That means if you're monthly profits are $500 it just went to $2,500. If it was $2,000 then it just went to $10,000!
The reason it not only works but works so powerfully is because they don't need to buy now. You have their email address. A weekly "tip" here, a "freebie" there, maybe even a "20% off coupon" if they buy today. Once they REALLY like what you have to offer you become a "familar friend".
So once they absoulutly NEED what you want who do you think they go to? A company they dont know, or a friend? Get the picture now?
If you want to see a Squeeze Page that is super simple and has been working for me for sometime now go to Remove My Ingrown Facial Hair.
Copy what I've done and test, test, test away...
