Der „Gutmensch“ war eine sprachliche Kritik von links an Leuten, die Analyse durch Gefühl und Systemkritik durch Systemkosmetik ersetzen wollten. Nie aber wendete er sich gegen „gute“, also humanistische Werte, ganz im Gegenteil. Dann jedoch wurde er gezielt gekapert. Von der Rechten, die in ihm eine passende Denunziationsvokabel fand, um jeden als Naivling hinzustellen, der sich nicht ihrer Schulhofschläger-Logik fügen wollte. Seit Langem schon ist sein ursprünglich aufklärerischer Impetus ins Gegenteil verkehrt worden. Der Gutmensch ist sozusagen auf die dunkle Seite der Macht gewechselt. Inzwischen wird er, als rechter Kampfbegriff, dermaßen inflationär gegen jeden Menschen verwendet, der auch nur einen Hauch von Differenzierung, Vernunft oder Empathie in die Debatte bringen will, dass er nun doch schon wieder hilfreich ist: als Deppen-Indikator.
