Trans isn’t a Neurological disorder, transmeds are just neurotrenders :)
FUN FACT: Gender incongruence (or being trans) isn’t a neurological disorder and transmeds are hypocrites who love being neurotrenders by falsely claiming they are neurologically disordered because the 70+ articles they source-dumped said so (the articles didn’t lol)
How to call out transmed lunacy:
STEP 1: Inform them about the WHO’s ICD-11, the APA’s DSM-V, the WPATH’s Standards, and other equivalents like the APA (the psychological one) and the WMA’s consensus on dysphoria being a requirement (hint, they all ruled dysphoria ISN’T a requirement).
if not enough,
STEP 2: Ask them if they paid top-dollar to get an MRI scan to “prove” their neurological illness. I GUARANTEE you they’ll say no cuz
MRIs are Incredibly Expensive, and
Insurance companies ain’t gonna cover an MRI for some whiny transmed trying to prove that they are “trans-brained”.
MRI’s can’t find “brain transness” cus it doesn’t exist
Hospitals and clinics have to use MRI’s on people with, y’know, ACTUAL or POTENTIALLY REAL neurological problems!!
Have fun being hypocrites idk, keep that nonsense to urself lmao
*shortened post cuz it’s getting long*
“i never once said i believed that transness is a neurological disorder. i believe it’s a biological.”
That doesn’t make any bloody sense. Transmeds for the longest propagate the idea of “brain sex” and some even call being trans “brain intersex” (<— I’ll reserve a separate post discussing how fked up that notion is for another day). Moreover, going by the transmedicalist model, being trans is “neurological” considering how you transmeds drone on about sexual dimorphism in the brain and consistently source-dump articles about just that in relation to transmeds.
How exactly can being trans be a “biological” disorder? Y’all describe trans as a “disconnect from the BRAIN sex to the bio sex”, or that “the bio sex isn’t what the brain recognizes as true, which is why dysphoria exists” so by that, transmedicalism concludes that being trans is a NEUROLOGICAL disorder. You will not fool me.
Moreover, a “biological” disorder is something that involves genetics, like, genetic mutations and conditions that may or may not be terminal or life-threatening. Trans does not constitute any of that. Some “biological” disorders are also neurological, like hereditary Alzheimer’s or other hereditary dementias (what I may be predisposed to).
Trans isn’t biological, since it isn’t physical/genetic and it doesn’t have the potential to be life-threatening, terminal, degenerative, doesn’t affect neurological, cognitive or biological development, nor is it even inconveniencing for every trans person. Y’all calling it “neurological” “biological” “brain intersex” sounds like you people just like throwing “sciency” words around to appear more legitimate.
“being medicalised will pave way for more considerations for medical care to be cheaper. more people will take this seriously because it’s not seen as some sort of fad. *more*, not definitive.”
well, that was tried years ago and it failed, like when they medicalized being gay. And moreover, are you guys calling your reps, senators and governors of your states? The scientists, medical/mental practitioners and researchers of the leading medical organizations have concluded that being trans does not constitute being disordered. They understand that trans people will need access to gender-affirming care, THAT is medical. It’s medical because it is life-saving.
Blaming trans people for the horrible back-ups in trans healthcare systems doesn’t stop the system from being shit. Those medical organizations address that issue time again, but the politicians in power have control over the budget and where it’s allocated. There’s only so much a medical system in a country can do for its trans patients when they close down mental health services and hospitals are filled up with patients and with less health workers to care for them. And when you add transphobic politicians passing bills to make it extremely hard for trans people to access healthcare, no amount of “medicalizing trans” will tackle the root issues of these problems.
The transphobes who thought COVID was a hoax and shit like measles parties aren’t gonna stop being transphobes because trans is “medicalized”. They spit in the faces of scientists and workers anyway.
You guys have no real solutions and have done little to nothing to try implementing anything. Yammering on YouTube and twitter and echo-chambering on r/truscum or r/transmedical doesn’t do anything lol. Y’all have the brain capacity of libertarians who think “paying taxes is useless cuz it’s muh money” and forget that recreational centers and hospitals rely on taxes
i will preface this by reiterating that you are “arguing” (for a lack of a better term) with me, someone who holds the general transmedicalism belief, not anyone else. so stop resorting to insults. thanks.
i base this idea of it being a “biological disorder” due to research i’ve come across, as well as my own personal beliefs.
The relative contributions of genetic and environmental factors to the development of gender identity have been debated. Twins were studied
Gender dysphoria (GD) is a facet of modern human biology which is believed to be derived from the sexual differentiation of the brain. GD “i
The etiology of gender identity disorder (GID) remains largely unknown. In recent literature, increased attention has been attributed to pos

i must add that of course many of these research are not definite and conclusive. but suggestions lead me to hold my beliefs. is that wrong?
this is also why i strongly believe that more research should be done into this.
again, you are arguing with me, and i do not embody the entirety of transmedicalism. what i say personally, does not mean everyone else thinks it. what everyone else thinks, may not be what i believe. transmedicalism is simply: “it’s a medical issue”. anyways..
do you not realise that there can be multiple reasons, both direct and indirect, for a system being shit? the trans community, and those who represent it, are not doing any good in getting rid of the false stigma that trans people are young edgy trenders. it gives transphobes more reason to pass these bills and continue to hold their ideology.
but let’s say we get rid of them and have transmedicalists represent the community. sure, transphobes will still be transphobes, transphobia would not magically disappear. bills will still be passed, hate will still appear, but with more difficulty as there are more research to disprove their claims, and they cannot say it’s a “fad” or a way to “groom kids”. actually medicalising transsexuality, with the basis of proper concrete evidence to show that it is indeed a biological disorder that needs to be treated, will make some politicians reconsider.
i don’t even come from the US and i don’t really plan to go there so like… what im supporting is for trans healthcare in my country to be more readily available, as well as to youths, under careful supervision. because right now the government sees trans people as nothing but adults doing body modification. they can’t even change their “gender” on documents unless they completely surgically transitioned. even an 18 year old girl was denied hormonal treatment and forced to present as a male because she was still “studying under the government system”. so yea, medicalising trans people helps. the world doesn’t revolve around US alone.
christ.
oh yes, i also remembered asking for research sources that support the idea of non dysphoric trans people? i’m still interested in it.
I don’t need “research sources” to support the idea of nondysphoric trans people because 1) they exist and it isn’t my job as a dysphoric trans person to cast judgement on their experiences I DO NOT experience myself and 2) An excerpt from @/official-transsexual ‘s pinned post:
Q: What sources say that you don’t need dysphoria to be transgender? (Note: this list is not intended to be exhaustive)
A: The American Psychiatric Association explicitly says that dysphoria is not necessary “ Not all transgender people suffer from gender dysphoria and that distinction is important to keep in mind. Gender dysphoria and/or coming out as transgender can occur at any age.” The World Health Organization’s ICD-10 acknowledges the existence of non-dysphoric trans people with its description of “transsexualism” as “usually accompanied by a sense of discomfort… or inappropriateness.” The American Psychological Association: “A psychological state is considered a mental disorder only if it causes significant distress or disability. Many transgender people do not experience their gender as distressing or disabling, which implies that identifying as transgender does not constitute a mental disorder.” The American Academy of Pediatrics describes gender dysphoria as a potential consequence of being trans: “ Some youths experience gender dysphoria when the incongruence between assigned sex at birth and asserted gender identity becomes so distressing that it impairs the youth in school, relationships and overall functioning… However, there is no evidence that risk for mental illness is inherently due to a gender-diverse identity.” The Canadian Paediatric Society provides this definition of Gender Dysphoria: “Describes the level of discomfort or suffering associated with the conflict that can exist between a person’s assigned sex at birth and their true gender. Some transgender children experience no distress about their bodies, but others may be very uncomfortable with their assigned sex, especially at the start of puberty when their body starts to change.” The World Medical Association cites the APA definition of dysphoria: “The WMA asserts that gender incongruence is not in itself a mental disorder; however it can lead to discomfort or distress, which is referred to as gender dysphoria (DSM-5).” WPATH states that “the criteria currently listed for [Gender Dysphoria] are descriptive of many people who experience dissonance between their sex as assigned at birth and their gender identity… The DSM-5 descriptive criteria for gender dysphoria were developed to aid in diagnosis and treatment to alleviate the clinically significant distress and impairment that is frequently, though not universally, associated with transsexual and transgender conditions” (emphasis added)
As I told you before, I’m more inclined to listen to the bodies of medical practitioners, mental health professionals, scientists and researchers who study treat trans people (many of these people are trans themselves) and actually champion and speak for trans people than people who care more for cis approval.
Once again you are blaming trans people for the laws that border on banning trans people from existing. Just because many trans people can be annoying and vitriolic, it does not warrant the onslaught of laws being passed to make a MINORITY, MARGINALIZED population of people’s lives a living hell everyday.
Blaming trans people for the Florida governor passing a law in which trans men have to use women’s restrooms, trans women have to use men’s restrooms, and intersex and nb people are basically unaccounted for is disgusting. Any law in any country, that is passed to punish an entire marginalized group for a number of loud people in their ranks is unjustifiable.
Your first article is locked. My Unpaywall plugin didn’t find any unlocked articles, and I’m not buying it. The second article itself states that the cause for gender dysphoria and being trans is unknown. Third article is hidden behind a paywall too. Fourth article is a Wikipedia article that has many conflicting statements, including how some trans men’s brains are similar in some regards to cis women’s brains. So it may “suggest” the idea of biological underpinnings, but suggestions are just suggestions, and are not conclusive and elucidated like people act like it is.

This article here by Lise Eliot not only discusses the issues with the various publication biases involving three decades worth of articles reporting positives in dimorphic brain (as in, articles flooded with false positive findings are more likely to be reported/published than articles finding no significant differences), but she actually breaks down how the little differences are 1) very insignificant, 2) there are more significant similarities and identical differences than differences, and 3) the articles and scientists behind them fail to discover brain differences beyond average body mass.
While this article does not mention trans people, it does discuss heavily why the brain is monomorphic and analyzes “pro-dimorphic” articles to discuss it. Trans people do not have a brain type.
I hope things in your country do get better, but I am adamant about the idea of minorities being punished for majority ignorance and the majority’s willful inability to see the minority as humans as reprehensible. Trans people do not deserve to have their rights stripped away and forced to recede because of what transphobic cis people think of us. Trans people can be annoying, and some can do really terrible things (like many non-trans people), but having trans people dehumanized and stripped of rights and autonomy because a few trans people did fucked up stuff is morally reprehensible.
An equivalent of this is like white supremacists trying to maintain racism as law, and white moderates and black brownnosers blaming civil rights activists (particularly the black ones) for “making us look bad” (black brownnosers) or “you look just as bad as the white racists, if not worse” (white moderates). Attitudes like this only enable transphobia lol
We all want to live the lives we desperately seek to live, in the end.
no point arguing much more because i would just repeat my points again, so i’ll just say a few things:
- “not all trans people experience dysphoria” “why?” “it’s just like that” is basically what those organisations say.
- again you keep assuming my stand on stuff just because some transmeds have a certain opinion. please don’t do that.
- change has to happen gradually. yes i agree that minorities shouldn’t be punished. but the reason why the aggressiveness from the other side is so extreme, is partly because of the extremism from the trans movement. you’re not “boot-licking” or “catering” to the other side if you mellow down. right now, from an outside perspective, all i see is the two sides attempting to see who can be more “extreme”, and unfortunately since the transphobes are the people with power, they win.
- i think suggestions are much better than “it is like that because i say so”.
#transsex people rarely see tucutes as trans people themselves #so to me it isn’t really “blaming” other trans people
and yet all I see are true transsexuals BLAMING trans people for shit that affects ALL trans people. You don’t see “tucutes” as trans people but “tucutes” are always the subject of blame in transmed discussion. Take it up with your fellow transmeds dawg
I also find it extremely telling how you classify literally anyone who is anti-transmed a “tucute” (not real trans by your definition). All that is needed to be classified as a “fake trans tucute” is to disagree with transmedicalism, so it is nice that you confirmed that the transmed standards doesn’t matter when a dysphoric trans person disagrees with transmedicalism, like many other transmeds I’ve interacted with. thank you
