Alright I'm getting new followers so time to make a pinned post! I'm Anzu but you can also call me deer or peura! I'm a (questioning) cis woman born in Finland and currently in my 30s. I reblog and post whatever more or less niche things I'm hyperfixating on. I do both traditional and digital art and TRY MY BEST to upload it. ❤︎⁠ ⚠️ MY BLOG MIGHT HAVE NSFW/SUGGESTIVE/HORROR CONTENT! ⚠️ I will always tag accordingly however! Some examples being: "body horror" "gore" "blood" etc. so be sure to blacklist any of these tags if the subjects make you uncomfortable. I will not add "cw:" in front of tags because it makes blacklisting harder.

I keep thinking about Piano Jax.

When Pomni asked where the “real” Jax was, I interpreted it as an inaccurate observation; that all of the different versions of Jax were just different aspects of his personality.

I still believe that to an extent, but this one — the frightened, trapped, quiet one that only serves as background for the other personas — is the most raw, honest side of Jax; the part of Jax that, had he not let herself succumb to his fear and self-hatred, would have ultimately saved her from abstraction. Even after it was essentially all over, she still tried, offering Pomni a way to reach her as soon as he had the chance.

Jax wanted to reach out, wanted to ask for help, but his ego, dysphoria, internalized misogyny, and self-hatred continued to hold her back until the very end.

So now that Episode 9 is fully out, can I take a moment to talk about this scene?

LOOK AT HIS FACE

This is the first time he’s being told, and probably the first time he’s even entertaining the notion, that he’s capable of being loved for who he is and not just what he does. That he has inherent worth simply because he exists. That just… for how heavy this whole episode was, that hit me the hardest, I think.

Same dude, Caine just having proof that he’s enough to be loved as he is right now and he doesn’t need to try and work harder and harder to make people love him…. That hit close to home in that feeing loved and accepted as you are is not a familiar thing.
