The Longest Week of Five's Life (And That's Saying Something)

All Five wanted was to retire and finally see the world he saved. Twice, mind you. But unfortunately, the universe clearly doesn't think that Five deserves a break. Because the moment he and Klaus get back from their prompt retirement, Diego is in his face, Luther is banging in zero gravity, they've created a grandfather paradox, he's getting blamed for everything (even things that weren't his fault), and who are those guys!? Our poor boy is already hiding grey hairs. His honest-to-god first thought was probably that he either needed a cup of coffee or a cup of whisky. Also, he has to save the world for a third time and find a way to deal with their unwanted guests. Hand the poor grandpa a cup of coffee and his retirement plan. He deserves it and to sleep in peace.

Love Won't Stop This Bomb

“Five is alive, Klaus,” Ben says, bubbling with excitement that was rare for him even when he was alive.

Klaus wipes a hand over his face. “I knew it. I knew he’d jumped forward, the cocky little shit.” Despite everything else, he laughs. “Guess he had reason to be.”

Klaus wakes in the apocalypse to the entire world screaming his name from beyond the grave. His siblings are dead, and Klaus would love to join them, but despite his best efforts, the Void won't keep him. That doesn't mean he plans on giving up, at least until Ben spots a familiar face and Klaus finally has an answer to where Five ended up when he disappeared so many years ago. Five's hellbent on returning home to prevent the apocalypse, even if it takes years, and Klaus tries his best to keep him safe and happy in the meantime.

Only, their ideas of what that means might differ. For Klaus, it's been over fifteen years since he saw Five, and he's spent that time trying to convince himself Five's absence didn't absolutely destroy him. For Five, it's only been a couple weeks since he left Klaus, and he has to face what his disappearance did to the boy he loved.
