a lifetime

Wow… I can't believe it's been three years since I posted here. And to be honest, I don't know why I'm even writing this post. I guess I just randomly remembered the login and wanted to look at my old life? After all these years I still have 3k+ followers… why? I guess those are just skeletons, and I'm posting this to no one. Honestly, I was surprised tumblr still exists. I only been on twitter (a new one)

Does anyone remember me? aomadara… It feels a lifetime ago.

Since I'm here let me give you a minor update: I still love manga and anime. I don't scanlate anymore, but I really miss it. I sometimes randomly translate a page to see if I could still do it. To no one's surprise: my English still sucks. Some things never change, I guess?

I finally fully recovered! I can actually work again, and I'm happily doing so. Also, I married my long-term boyfriend. It's been two years, but I still can't believe I'm a married man now. Wild. But the biggest change in my life is that I'm now a dad. And not just a cat dad! An actual dad. Our daughter is just… perfect. A perfect bundle of joy. She turned two just four months ago, and we're already planning on expanding our little family.

I hope all of you are well and live life to the fullest.

I don't know why I got so mushy just now lol ok let me leave before this gets even worse.

Farewell

So, this is my very last post, huh? I wasn't sure if I should even post it. I said everything I wanted to say last time but here it goes anyway.

As you can see, this blog is now empty. I kept the project page for you (for now) but everything else is gone. In my last post, I said I would reply to messages and asks but in the end, I didn't. Just within 24 hours after I posted my goodbye I got so many asks and messages, it was overwhelming. So, I decided not to answer any. It had nothing to do with any of you, believe me! 

Even now I get asks from (shy) people that follow me on Twitter asking me how I not only lost interest in scanlation but in manga in general. I loved reading manga because it was a way to escape reality. Especially BL manga with cute family dynamics and children, etc... it's because I wanted this but couldn't have it. And when my legs finally decided not to work anymore and I had to rethink my whole life (again), my boyfriend and I decide to work towards this life. We moved out of Tokyo and rented a little house to plan everything. And that's what we've been doing. We decided to leave Japan behind because we know we won't get want we want here. At least not in the near future. For us, it was just logical to move to Germany and our moving day is coming closer and closer. (Hopefully. With this pandemic, things made some detours.)

We still have a long way to go to have the life we want but we working on it. And I still read manga occasionally but my spark is definitely gone. 

I keeping this blog for now, mainly for my secondary blog (buddieclown) but maybe one day I move everything to a new account and delete this one for once and for all. And of course, I'm still active on my Twitter (@aomadara), so maybe I'll see you there. Warning: I'm annoying on both!
