Happy Monday morning to me. I came in to see t his on the screen.
Time Machine Cont...
Rebooted. Emptied trash. Ran another backup and it worked.
Caused by 10.5.3? Didn't have any TM problems for a long time.
Updates
I have not been updating the blog for every crash. They don't seem to be happening as much lately, but they are happening more than this blog indicated. It's still frustrating.
I'm trying to get in the habbit of logging them all again.
Just opened mail and sent a link to a web page to someone. And crash.
Back to My Mac
It's not even working in my own private network now. I just get a black screen when trying to use screen sharing to either one of the other Macs here at home.
Pixelmator
I downloaded it again off of their site and it seems to work now. The update process must have corrupted it.
Rebooted and still won't launch. Will try to re-download it.
Rebooted because of Pixelmator and this happens. I have to turn off Airport and turn it on again.
Using a Mac isn't a good as it used to be.
Apparently Safari doesn't like BMW. BMWUSA.com has crashed Safari mutiple times in the past few days on different computers. It has happend on the Mac Pro and the older iMac G4.
I hate lies. See previous post where it says service is back to normal.
"Normal service has been restored" ??????
Continued on next post...
Mail is downloading all messages for some reason and maxing out the internet connection. I noticed the same thing last night on one of my home Macs.
When I launched mail this morning it downloaded 540 messages. It looked like it was done, but the internet connection was maxed out still. On a hunch, I quit mail and the internet activity stopped. I luanched it again and it started downloaded even more. That is the screen shot shown. It appears to finish and there is nothing in the Mail Activity window, but the internet connection continues to be maxed out. It still is as I type this.
iPhone
iPhone is been acting very poorly the past few days. Saturday I called my wife and she didn't answer. I try to disconnect, but the interface was totally non-responsive. It would not release the connection and I had to reboot to get it to hang up.
Today I just looked at the phone at 8:42 and discovered that it has been locked since 5:51 when I took it off the chargers. The backlight was still on and the screen was frozen with the time still displaying 5:51. So the battery has been draining for almost 3 hours with the light on. Nice. Battery is half dead now. Even nicer.
It's been "Finishing backup..." for about an hour now.
All has not been well since the last entry. Been too busy to enter anything. Still seeing much of the same stuff, but this is a new one.
Saw some problems with Aperture the other day. With it running the dock was not visible. It came back once I quit Aperture.
