"Where did that come from, Tsubasa-kun?"

One moment he was all childish and the next, purely man-like. A heavy flushed graced her cheeks as she looked down at her half-filled plate. “You make it sound like we haven’t seen each other in years.”

"Well to me it feels like it's been years. Every time I see the stars I think of you and it seems like a year each time I see them. But, now since I am back it wont feel like eternity anymore. Nuuuu... I hope I don't do that again." He drones on while he cooks.

He took one of the Onigiri and nibbled on it while he fidgeted with it as he cooked.

"You’re right. Maybe we should have dinner while watching the stars sometime?"

The two of them finally arrived at the restaurant and chose their seats. Tsukiko sat in front of him and scanned the menu that was handed to her.

"I’ll leave my personal chef for tonight to choose the dishes.", she said as she smiled across the table.

Working confidently, he started to make simple rice balls. That was his version of an appetizer. They had pickled plums in them to give them flavor and color.

Then, he began making some Mitsuba and some tea to go with it. Then, began making little roles of Sushi, rather skillfully. It was sort of a big meal, but not too big that they couldn't finish it off.

"You're as beautiful as I remember."

"I can’t cook that well so will you do it for me?" Tsukiko gently squeezed his hand in reply. "I wouldn’t want you to be rushed to the clinic for stomach pains later."

"Of course. I was intending to create the best dinner for you Tsukiko." A big goofy grin shown, he was so excited inside and barely could show it. Swinging their hands slightly, Tsubasa walked her out of the building and down the street.

"Nyaaa! The stars are so pretty tonight! Look!" He pointed up with his free hand at the sparkles in the black blanket above them.

"How about the restaurant down the street. The cook-your-own restaurant where I can cook you some stuff or make you some sushi and rice balls?" He suggests, taking her hand.

"I'm sorry. I just am really happy to see you." He gazes down at her. It'd been so long since he last saw her. A smile spreads across his lips. "Wanna go get a late dinner with me?"

"Azusa... Where are we? Where's ojichan? Why are you so big?" The boy asked, crystal hued eyes staring up from behind his little cat toy.

Doki.

“Wha — huh?" Whirls around, glancing down at the infant. "Eh?"

( ! ) “Tsubasa, you’re a—” ….Oh man, was this really happening? Probably one of his cousin’s bizarre experiments gone wrong? ”What did you do this time?!”

Azusa leveled his head to grin in his amusement as he opened his arms. The embrace was warm and immensely welcomed; his arms slid around Tsubasa’s midsection, pulling the toddler tightly to his chest while he squatted down to get a better hold. “Yeah.. What a great idea, Tsubasa. Ojichan would be so delighted to see you—”

Gaze shifted along with his feeting, hues of indigo now staring down. The more he fed into the lie the more he hurt Tsubasa— even if it was subconsciously, and it pained him to do so. It reminded him of past memories, memories of the grief and sorrow his cousin was put through on that dreaded evening his grandfather died. Focus returned back to the little boy in his arms, fingers releasing their grip and sliding to his hips only to then pick him up off of the ground and into his arms.

Up you go, little one.

“—-But we can’t work on an empty stomach now, can we? Let’s go grab something to eat before starting our top secret project! Anything you want to eat in particular, hn? ..’Think I might have some leftover onigiri in my compact refrigerator.”

"Onigiri!" He cheered with a shy smile, nuzzling into the raven haired male. Just as he cried out in joy, his stomach sung along, growling loudly in the quietness. The little inventor blushed darkly and hid his face, quietly muttering, "Nunununu..." at the embarrassing noise. But, at the same time he couldn't help but giggle a little bit too due to the thoughts beginning to crowd his mind.

"Ojichan will be very surprised at you too! I think you are bigger than him now!" An arm waved as he exclaimed his words to his older cousin. "Think I will get that big too?" Tsubasa asked, playing with Azusa's black locks, focusing on braiding them since there wasn't much to do up there.

Wonders what happened to him. Just staring at the little boy that looked much like Tsubasa. "...Hello, child."

Ignores him while constructing an invention out of the items he found in the strange room he woke up in. More like he didn’t hear the other he was so focused.

What a way to keep him locked in that room. If someone else came in here this might be a little awkward. Tsubasa was being adorable though and he couldn’t help but melt a bit at the child’s persistence with him. Homare had a lot to do and was kind of hungry but…

”..You win this once,” a mumble pressed out so sweetly. With a careful manner he crawled to a good side of the bed and just rested there. Sleep wouldn’t take over, no. Wouldn’t allow that sort of thing. But to watch and protect him with nap time…sure. So for that whole time he fell in and out of consciousness; hands petting against the soft messy pastel with these patterns.

When he felt the other crawl next to him, the young Tsubasa curled up into a small ball and huddled against him, much like how a cat would to extract body heat from their human. Though, much less annoying and inconvenient.

A few hours passed by as the mini inventor napped through the afternoon. Around 5 his eyes began to flutter open and a yawn escaped his pink lips. "Nyaaaah." The sound came out. "Nuu... Where am I?" He sat up next to Homare, rubbing his eye with his stripped sleeve.

--- The prodigy raised a hand to the inventor's front dormitory door, giving it a firm tap before shoving his hands into his pockets. "Oui, Tsubasa. Are you sick or something? I haven't heard from you in awhile.. Let me in. I just want to see if you're okay."

"Nununu.... Go away..." The sick Aquarius called out from his bed towards the door. Tsubasa curled up under his blankets, head smooshed between his folded up pillow.

The purplette shrugged, staring up at her with slightly dull eyes. “I am looking for my Ojichan…”

"Cake… I love cake too. There’s a famous patisserie near here. Let’s go?"

Tsukiko took hold of those small hands once again. They were small and cute but the grip was strong. She has no worries now that he’ll pull away and get lost.

As they got inside the cake shop, a lengthy display of different kinds of sweets were glowing. The lady who was behind the counter smiled at her, as if greeting a friend. She was a frequent customer anyway.

"What would you like to eat? Choose anything, okay?"

When Tsubasa's eyes fell upon the gallery of sweets, they lit up like fireworks. He was in wonderland, and it was one he very much so liked, filled with everything he loved.

Running over to the glass case, his violet hues darted from cake to cupcake to chocolate. They all looked so delicious. Which one was he going to choose first? Could he really choose just one?

"Um... I want that one!" He squealed excitedly, pointing to a red velvet cake.
