Everyone knows there has been an article written about him, when he was interviewed while in Gaza, and his family has been on the news before for tragic reasons. A significant portion of the users who have been advocating for him have followed him since November or December of 2023, and he posted videos and pictures frequently of his living conditions, including his face in the videos. It's not a matter of lack of knowledge, and even if it was there's no reason to be pursuing a 'guilty until innocent' perspective against him without it being very clearly racially motivated. Tumblr has thoroughly dehumanized the Palestinian users on this website and made the verbal abuse and harassment of genocide survivors an actual legitimate activity this website's users will partake in. I'm not sure this is something you could've said about Tumblr 2 years ago.

I will remember this as the website that tried to harass a Palestinian genocide survivor off the platform with false, baseless accusations.

I want to take a minute to bring everyone's attention to the ongoing tyranny that Bangladesh is going through, all thanks to state-sponsored terrorism. We are being hunted down and killed by our government forces and agencies for peacefully protesting against the age-old unfair quota systems that disproportionately offer 56% of all government jobs as quotas, in the name of providing support to 7 generations of freedom fighters of our liberation war of 1971. These quotas are used by our corrupt government to only offer their favored successors those jobs. The students all throughout the country, united together to protest for their rights which was met with a bloody crackdown by the government. For the last 5 days, we have continuously been losing the lives of individuals all throughout our country in the hands of the government's armed forces like police, RAB, and BGB. Since 18th July 2024, there's been a complete blackout in Bangladesh with no way to pass information online. We have no way of contacting Bangladesh nor anyone can contact us. There's also network disruption and helicopter surveillance with frequent drops of teargas, sound grenades, and bullets on students. There's curfew as well as Section 144 which orders the military to shoot anyone out of their home. At these trying times, we desperately need all the help we can get. Please help us save our students and our general people from the hands of the tyrants. Please spread this. Let everyone know what the students of Bangladesh are going through.
