It’s rainy and overcast and I can already tell it will be a magical day. And I haven’t even started drinking my coffee! Maybe that blogger was right about eating lots of protein for breakfast. Maybe Micah is smart, manhandling cheese, green coffee, and DIY jam like a chemist with cantilevers. There are enough hipsters doing things to keep me entertained for a while. The rain is in my speakers, which is how I like it, and it stretches down the length of my being, helps me breath so I can write poems and criticims and iron the pleats out of my uninteresting pants.

I started writing again six or seven years ago. I cannot say what happened or what I’m doing, where it comes from, where it goes…

When the wheel in my chest starts to whirr I tell myself: shut one eye and be alive with features.
