The story is truly finishedâand meaning is madeânot when the author adds the last period, but when the reader enters.

Guadalupe Mountains National Park has the four highest peaks in Texas, an ancient fossil reef, desert, dunes, canyons, wildlife and a touch of fall color. In McKittrick Canyon, the maples put on a show this autumn. With lots of trails for hiking and horseback riding, youâll find the perfect place for your fall pictures. Photo by National Park Service volunteers.
The point of reading isnât to memorize, and itâs certainly not to critique. Itâs to absorb and filter with an open mindâto find the right thing at the right time so that you can improve and update your existing model of reality rather than mold whatever youâre reading to fit into it as it is.

The worst trick a childhood anxiety disorder pulls is, you spend your early years being applauded for being so much more mature than your peers, because you arenât disruptive, you donât want any kind of attention, you donât express yourself, you keep yourself to yourself - this makes you a pleasure to have in class, etc etc - and you start to believe itâs virtue. But youâre actually way behind your peers in normal social development, and who knows if you can ever catch up.
Never heard a truer thing in my life.
holy shit wait you mean being just morbidly terrified of doing anything wrong ISNâT necessarily the same as being âwell behaved?!â
Convenient children =/= healthy children
Convenient children do not equal healthy children
women have a hard time refusing a coffee order that someone got wrong because they donât want to hurt anyoneâs feelings and people are surprised that we get manipulated during the very vulnerable and threatening atmosphere of sex with men
Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?
