BRADIO | ææ ăȘăă©ă·ăŒ
tamakiyuki:
You donât remember.
A guestâ a young girl, pointed it out during one of your many rounds, and unlike all the other times before { the inquiries regarding your previous guests were more often than not, dutifully disregarded } you gave a visible pause.
It wasnât as if it was unexpected. Each and every single one of these guestâs memories were to leave you in due time, but the curl of her smile, that rebellious streak of white; there was something else.Â
Something important.
The reason behind the sudden urge to know, to remember, to fill in this gaping void in your memory wasnât anywhere to be found.
...A guest, however, is a guest, and you turn back towards the young lady, the same, unchanging smile on your features { a question begins to nag at your brain; since when did you start doing such a thing? } and answered truthfully.
âI am terribly sorry, but Iâm afraid I cannot answer that.â
And perhaps, that was for the best.
captivatingmomo:
âWait a secâŠ!â Looking a bit disturbed by everything thatâs happening, Momoâs hands slam on the counter, words fumbling in her mouth. âAre you allowed to serve minorsâŠ?!â
But as she thought about it now, she couldnât remember anything. Itâs like all of her memories were in some sort of jumbled mess, stashed in the back of her mind with no methods as to how she could get them out. Even as she scratched her head slightly, trying her hardest to remember, she just couldnât. It was all empty.
Whatâs thisâŠ? She looked to the other teen beside her, baffled by the fact that she was thinking of something other than this. An underground organization, she saidâŠ? But they were going up in the elevator! Did they have a bad sense of direction?
Whatever it was, she was curious. Seeing now that the otherâs settled down (hopefully), she gives them a tap on the shoulder, blinking with a tilt of her head. She wasnât exactly sure if she should ask, let alone trust the otherâs words.
âH â hey, uhâŠâ Ah, how terrible. She couldnât even speak properly! Taking a gulp, Momo straightened out her back, trying once more. âDo you remember anything?â
And then she turned to this âDecimâ, who now seemed sketchy. With an eyebrow raised, she proceeded, saying, âBecauseâŠbecause I donât.â
RightâŠtheyâre in a bar, and hopefully the paparazzi hadnât seen them enter. Itâd be one big storm if that happened. If anything, she was scared; this was was obviously unknown to her, and she felt the discomfort writhing in her. Yet there was someone who might be in the same situation as her.
Sheâll hang on to that sort of hope.
Theyâll get out somehow!
The skepticism was inevitable, but frightening the contestants wasnât Decimâs intention. His hand made a small gesture towards the bottles of juice and cola, a subtle olive branch; a vain peace offering.
There was little doubt in his mind that a certain red-headed bartender would be seething at such a display.
Once both of the girls responded, he gave a nod.
âThank you for your cooperation.â
Before continuing, he gave a brief moment of pause at Erunaâs accusation, his speech unchanging.
âAllow me to explain your situation.â His eyes met a gaze that was nothing short of suspicious, and another that was remarkably curious. âI ask that you pay close attention.â
âFirst, I cannot tell you where you are,â he began, reciting the rules like clockwork. âSecond, both of you are to play a game. Third, the game will be chosen via roulette.â
Said roulette board deftly fell into place right behind him, landing with a resounding ping.
The albino paused once again, allowing his two a chance to prepare for the two next, and least favorable rules amongst his guests, based on the elicited skeptical and disbelieving reactions that came time and time again.
âFourth, this is a game in which your lives are at stake,â Decim continued, finally ending with, âFifth, until the game is over, you cannot leave this bar.â

The quiet ding of the elevators ensured Decim that todayâs contestants were, as always, on time.
Unlike most games, however, their memories were intertwinedâ- the gasps and exclamations that followed the opening of their doors only served to establish this fact.
Perhaps he could use this to his advantage.
âYo wuz crackalackin' biatch? Yo ass is smokin' Quindecim.â
Gesturing to the barstools across from him, he started, âQuit playin' n' do what tha fuck I be sayin'! Please, take a seat.â
captivatingmomo:
The elevator ride halted to a stop, and when the doors opened, she hesitated to step out. Everything just seemed so hazy; that, in a way, made each of her step cautious, eyes blinking at the peculiar setting with a tilt of the head. Ah, just where â
âEh?! Me?â Surprise overwhelms the idolâs body, eyes turning to the person gazing at her. Her mind immediately sinks into panic â could this be my power, or a fan?! â as the pink-haired girl came closer, and for a moment, Momo had to rake her brain as to what she should do.Â
(Thatâs a compliment, right? Then again, Iâm still so confusedâŠ!)
But before she could even start anything, another voice breaks through her thoughts, and her gaze trails to the male standing behindâŠa bar. And one so oddly named, tooâŠwas it Queendeck or Quindecim? There she goes again, with words clashing into jumbled phrases in her brain.
She takes a seat next to the girl, feeling as if for the moment, sheâs the only one that could be trusted in a scenario like this. She nods at the otherâs statement all before it could completely come to her â she was at a bar. Oh god, she was at a bar?!
âH â hold on!â She immediately jumps in her seat, looking at the assortment of drinks behind the male. She looks to the other before continuing, and sheâs more perplexed at the fact that the girl looked like she was the same age as her. âI â Iâm not of age! I canât be at a bar! If the press sees this â oh god, if my manager hears about thisâŠ!â
Upon hearing her concerns, the albinoâs gaze turned to the idol, his expression unchanging.
"Now that you're both here, allow me to formally introduce myself," he interjected, briefly hoping that his reply didn't come off as disrespectful; hopes that were immediately dashed upon looking at the contestant's faces.
Though it was unlikely that he could have given them a satisfying response in the first place.
Having grown used to such reactionsâ- heâs only learned that itâs natural, after all, to behave in such a way when forced into these circumstancesâ- Decim continued, regardless of whether both of them were seated or not.
âI am Decim, your bartender,â he began with a curt bow. âNow, if you would indulge me, I must ask you a question.â
âDo you remember anything prior to your arrival?â.

The two contestants exited their respective elevators, the elicited reactions very much textbookâ- one didnât have to see them to know what was running through their minds.
Once they entered Decim's line of sight, he gave a small, curt bow.
âWelcome to Quindecim.â
As he waited for them to eventually approach the bar, Decim polished a few glasses, silently skimming through their memories. Considering that they were of the same age, race, sex, and location, it was almost intriguing as to how different their lives were; not to mention what brought an end to them.
Once both individuals were of approximate range, he gestured towards the bar stools.
âPlease take a seat.â
                «GET RIGHT! GET RIGHT!»

There are days when the fated two contestants were already associated with one otherâ though these were few and far in-between.
However, today was one of those days.
From the elevators arouse two siblings, though their appearance stated otherwise. Their memories together, compressed and compiled as they were, were blatantly unpleasant. Perhaps this round will be completed much sooner than most.
As the two individuals approached Decimâs bar, his practiced hands polished a couple of glasses. Though they didnât seem to be at the appropriate age for alcohol consumption, somewhere on these shelves had to be something that suited their tastes.
After all, one often needed a drink when faced with these circumstances.
âWelcome to Quindecim.â
