The issue of ancient Greek archery looms in mist, as it passed to history as a distrusted weapon, alien to the codes of honorable battle. Though, it had been kept in high respect. There was a full tactical and technical doctrine, as both literary and

Mackenzie Brown was the only woman archer to represent the United States at the 2016 Olympics, though she did not medal. She is a two-time team medalist at the Pan American Games, and won an individual silver medal at the 2015 World Youth Championships.
When millimetres counts…
What is the point of using giant stabilizers? I know it's common with long distance archery (60+meters) but how do they help?
As far as I’m aware, they just weigh down the front of the bow and make the swing finish easier. We use them even indoors at 18m too, its just that finish motion that is important to set into memory. Something to be said for being used to the way your bow feels in any competition.
Can you give me some tips for a beginner using a simple longbow?
I’m sorry, I am not familiar with the longbow as I am a recurve.
Can anyone else here help?
Getting used to a new bow is a lot like being in a new relationship, it’s fun to find out what makes her tick… I know it’s a little soon, but I think I love her!
so i have been shootin arrows lately and am finally getting the hang of it 🏹💖🌙
If anyone ever says that Olympic archery looks easy, show them how far away the target is.
I thought this was worth sharing as it demonstrates how archery can lift the spirits of people who have so much on their minds. It was originally posted on a closed Facebook group of timber creek bow owners but I’ve had permission from the author Tony to repost this. In case you can’t read the text in the image I’ve posted it here.
“I just want to tell people a short tale about Grizzly Jim. My beautiful wife jan has been diagnosed with breast cancer, I cannot begin to tell you the nightmare we have found ourselves in for the past two weeks. When Grizzly knew of Jans ilness he took us out shooting the day before she had surgery. It was the one light spot in an otherwise bleak time. I would like to tell Merlin Archery what a fantastic brand ambassador Jim is and what an alround great guy. Jan and I cannot thank him enough. Jan had surgery on Friday to remove the tumour and some glands from under her arm. Everything looks good at this stage but we must now wait for the results of pathology tests to see what the next step is but things look promising for her. Once again, thanks Jim for giving us the only good memory we have had for a few weeks. Tony Spacey”

Someone asked me the other day what my bow looks like, and here she is! I wish I had my own range
Re-fletched and ready to go!
