âAlright alright. Fine.â Darius responded, unable to hide the smile that managed to creep onto his face. He lowered his head and gave Roy kisses on the top of his head, nose, and lastly his lips.
âIâll give you a bit more later if you want~.â He added in a suggestive tone.
Darius waved goodbye to Erin before he glanced over at Roy to smile softly at him. He did look down at Blake after the boy was mentioned and sighed.
âUh huh. The sweetest. I bet heâll still be a sweet little sausage even when he grows up.â He commented, chuckling quietly afterwards.
Roy immediately gasped in a scared way and covered Dariusâs mouth with his hand.
âDonât say stuff like that! I donât want him to grow up. Never! Never ever. Shut up.â
Darius gently removed Royâs hand and raised an eyebrow at him before simply shaking his head at the demonâs reaction.
âFine then...Meanie.â He replied and stuck his tongue out at the man.
Darius waved goodbye to Erin before he glanced over at Roy to smile softly at him. He did look down at Blake after the boy was mentioned and sighed.
"Uh huh. The sweetest. I bet he'll still be a sweet little sausage even when he grows up." He commented, chuckling quietly afterwards.
âOhâŠ.Uh. RightâŠ.â Alex mumbled and rubbed his face a little bit, still feeling bad. He nodded afterwards though so that there wouldnât be a continuous negative vibe to the room.
âYeah, no prob. You guys should try some too.â He called to the others.
âHeh, they sure look good, huh?â Roy smiled sweetly at Erin and took a seat on the couch.
âWe could make a little business, heh!â
"Yep." Erin nodded her head in response and returned the smile before looking around at the others as she remained standing.
"I think I'm gonna get to bed now. I'm already exhausted and everything. So..goodnight." She added after a couple seconds and turned to leave the room.
The family exchanged looks. Obviously they had no idea what Marshall was reading about, being preoccupied with their own conversations.
âOh? Who is it?â Alex had to ask.
Roy turned to look back at Alex and gave him an awkward type of smile, as if he wanted to answer for his brother, but couldnât. Marshall had clearly heard Alex since he glanced at him, though stayed quiet.
âHey, why donât you head to bed and get some rest ? Itâs been a long day, yeah ?â Roy spoke up once more, facing the vampire again, who chose to listen and left the room without much of a sound.
Alex frowned after watching Marshall leave and rubbed the back of his neck. The others stayed relatively quiet for a little bit, glancing some more at each other.
âUhâŠ.â Alex began, knowing he had something to say, though he didnât know how to phrase it.
âEheh. Sorry. Did you wanna say something?â Roy called back to the elemental, setting the newspaper onto a nearby coffee table so he wouldnât have to look at it either.
âWell I mean, I'm still sorta curious about who âthat guyâ you were talking about is..â Alex admitted and shrugged his shoulders before he simply rested his head on his hand.
âBut, I guess I donât NEED to know though. What I think I have to know right now is who I'm sleeping with tonight. Like, I don't wanna have to spend the whole night without cuddles..â He added, glancing over at Amy who just face-palmed in response.

âMarshy, Marshy! Come on. Try some!â Alex called to his pal with a grin.
âHuh ? Oh, Iâll pass.â The vampire called back to his friend and returned to his reading, making his brother only pout more.
âOh, so you can hear HIS voice, but not mine ?? You little piece ofâ hey. Look at me what Iâm talking to ya. Stop pretending to read that darn thing, will ya ?â
Alex watched Marshall to see how he would respond, glancing, for a moment, back at Roy again. He hadn't noticed if Marshall was just pretending to read or not. Though he had found it somewhat strange for the vampire to be reading.
Some of the family members exchanged glances which were followed by some snickering.
"Marshy, Marshy! Come on. Try some!" Alex called to his pal with a grin.
âNot sure. I mean, not everyoneâs even around right now. But then again, Alex still is though so it might be just enough.â Erin answered and shrugged her shoulders while watching Roy for a while long.
âHmm, good thinking.â Roy gushed, setting the finished chips into a bowl and taking the sauces in small cups.
âLetâs see what they think of our skills, eh?â
Erin simply nodded her head up and down in response. She walked over to the door, holding it open for Roy after helping out by taking a couple of the cups in one of her hands.
âHey, guys! Who wants some homemade chips? We made sauces to dip âem in, too!â Roy announced as he left the kitchen with Erin, both of them carrying bowls of chips and small cups with the sauces.
"Oooh. Sounds awesome!" Alex grinned and gave a thumbs up while Alexa smiled over at the pair as they entered the living room again.
"Of course, i bet you both did an amazing job." She responded, exchanging a glance with Erin after speaking.
âNot sure. I mean, not everyoneâs even around right now. But then again, Alex still is though so it might be just enough.â Erin answered and shrugged her shoulders while watching Roy for a while long.

âYeah.. crap, I feel so dumb.â The demon laughed and started removing the burnt chips so he could put in a new batch.
âOkay, new rule; no more deep personal chats while weâre frying stuff.â
"Eheh.....Sounds like a good rule." Erin admitted, watching Roy as he replaced the chips. She glanced around at the counter after a couple moments and sighed.
"Maybe I should get to washing the stuff we're not using." She suggested.
Erin covered her mouth after she took notice of the pan as well. She immediately grabbed a kitchen towel and tried to fan the smoke away so it wouldn't set the fire alarm off.
"Er....well. It's fine if we just have one bad batch..." she chuckled awkwardly.
âYeah, well as much as I appreciate that, I donât think thatâs gonna help. Iâll be fine thoughâŠI guess.â Erin replied quietly and glanced up at Roy after he placed a hand on top of her head.
âWhat do you mean when you say you went through something similar?â She asked after a few seconds.
âWell, I donât know how much youâve heard about me or my brother, but we didnât exactly have a kind childhood.â The demon explained, forcing a weak smile as he placed another round of potato slices into the frying pan.
âWe STILL donât know who our real parents are. And weâre not even real brothers, yknowâŠ? Our originâs been hidden from us our whole life.â
"Oh....That really sucks." Erin frowned after she listened to the demon. She hadn't actually known much about him or Marshall to begin with and always figured that they were biological brothers. So of course, this was a surprise.
"Sorry."
"Yeah, well as much as I appreciate that, I don't think that's gonna help. I'll be fine though...I guess." Erin replied quietly and glanced up at Roy after he placed a hand on top of her head.
"What do you mean when you say you went through something similar?" She asked after a few seconds.
âOhâŠyeah. Guess I never put a lot of thought into it since he was always so vague when talking about that sort of thing. But it seems like he does that so he wonât get emotional.â Erin responded quietly.
âAnd I know Iâve sort of been avoiding him lately because ofâŠ.that whole situation. But I should be letting him off the hook for that. Itâs my mom Iâm really upset with. I guess I shouldnât be giving HIM the cold shoulder. You know? I mean, at least heâs making an effort with me. It kinda makes me feel bad though..â She sighed, bringing more potatoes over to Roy.
âOh, Erin⊠I had no idea this was affecting you so much.â Roy frowned worriedly and accepted the potato slices from Erin.
âWhy are you mad at your mom, though? I donât get⊠why youâre mad at either of them. B-but, I mean.. itâs not like Iâve went through the same thing, so..â
âYeah, I know you probably havenât. But, bottom line, she had been lying to my face my whole life. And I would ALWAYS ask about my real parents and about trying to find them. Every time, sheâd tell me that she wished she knew them and if she ever did find my parents, she would tell me.â Erin replied, staying by Roy as he cooked.
"And now, knowing that she knew about my dad all this time and kept him from me, itâs just..a total slap in the face.. I could have actually KNOWN him..you know? And now, there's probably not enough time for that.â She added.
