This was a really good article about Azzis role in the team so far + the plans for her development

Looking at moving her to a secondary ball handler + getting her more comfortable as a PnR handler - she’ll be deadly lowkey can’t wait

Also the Athletic have Dallas at 4th in their power rankings (behind Lynx, Aces and dream) which is still INSANE to me, like what a change from last season

Especially bc we know how much Annie hates to give Paige or Azzi any flowers 😭

As an (unfortunate and unwilling) long time Wings fan it’s a whole new world

Another fun stat for this season so far! Dallas is bottom 3 in TOs with Paige as one of the cleanest primary ball handlers in the league so far

Feel like some coverage has catastrophized about this being a problem at times so this was fun to see

Especially after one of the hardest opening schedules like what the actual fuck

This reminds me of the Rhyne situation from preseason - we joke about it but the W desperately needs some media training (hell just guidelines/rules)

I feel like all the players that left college in the last 2-3 years handle social media/bigger audiences/more fans better bc they had to make that adjustment in systems that were strict about this kinda thing

There’s no reason for any player to be talking about a *rookie* on social media, but especially not just bc some fans got nasty about her performance in the game before - like it’s shit and unfortunate but extra attention brings the good and the bad with it + a lot of players are making the bad worse by not getting out their own way

Forced to miss the whole game bc of work, had to check the score twice just now bc (w/ love ❤️) I couldn’t actually believe the wings beat vegas again and thought the ESPN app was lying to me lol

It’s not even about how good Azzi/Maddy/Awak could be if given the chance, it’s also like why go back to what’s clearly not working just to inevitably sub them out 2 mins in and expect the bench to make up the deficit 😭😭
