she’s the middle child in a family composed of two very artistic parents and three daughters who couldn’t possibly be any more different from each other. except that, typically enough, in a lot of ways, she turned out to be the perfect balance between her older and younger sister. it never really bothered her, though. she’s proud of her sisters and of her parents, and has always considered comparisons to them to be praise rather than a lack of understanding.
to be fair, though, she always kind of was the trouble child growing up. she never was the cause of life-changing problems, sure, but at the end of the day, it’d always been hard for jaehwa to think before she acted and it definitely has caught up to her from time to time. and time and time again, she has reflected on it to try and figure out how to grow from it all... has she put those thoughts into action? maybe not all the time, and maybe not properly, but she’s considered it, and isn’t that saying a lot? her issues have very rarely affected people other than her (or so she’s always assumed), so is it really a problem?
and really, she’s calmed down a lot in the last few year. she’s still reckless, and still acts before thinking most of the time, but it rarely ever leads to too much trouble these days.
she’s always willing to help, and is always volunteering before anyone ever even gets the chance to ask. she never judges or looks down on those she helps, and to her, helping people is a sign of respect and not of pity. as long as she’s not the one who needs help, that is… (she’d rather scream and throw herself against a tree instead of asking for help, which can sometimes be a bit of a problem.)
she’s extremely sociable, and truly does enjoy being a waitress for the opportunities it gives her to interact with people… and because it gives her a chance to listen in on people’s conversations and find out things she might not have found out otherwise. fact is, she can’t stand feeling like she’s out of the loop, and if the loop in question is none of her business whatsoever, she doesn’t care; she has to know all there is to know. and, really, at the end of the day, she never really does anything with that information, but she needs to feel like she’s in the know.
when she was little, she wanted to fly. then, as a teen, she decided that she’d learn to breathe underwater. and in her twenties, she swore she’d find a way to get taller. — jaehwa’s always had unattainable goals and dreams; it’s how she manages to get through life with a smile on her face. where dreams are involved, there’s always hope, and that’s what’s always mattered most to her.
jaehwa falls in love very easily. a bit too easily, actually, considering the fact that she never truly falls out of said love... she loves ardently, passionately and truly; and although it might be somewhat easy for her to turn her own unrequited romantic love into platonic love, that never truly makes the heartbreak any less painful. and yet, she’s grown used to it. sometimes, it’s easier to love oh so openly than to pretend you’re wearing any kind of armour.
