As soon as they took off, Zeriel felt his inside lurch, it had been a while since he had actually flown. So much so that he actually fell silent as he focused on the flight just moments after it began. Almost as if he were in a trance. Realizing she was speaking to him, he momentarily snapped out of it, a dazed and quiet response in return. ‘ Sorta maybe…yeah. Books told us a few things but I never really paid attention. Too many stories about royals. Just…not my thing. ‘
“STORIES? I CAN TELL YOU THEY ARE NOT STORIES. THEY ARE ALL TRUE.”
A deep heavy sigh would rumble past her throat, as her wings flapped heavily a few more times, keeping them aloft.
“EVEN THE BAD ONES. NULLHIMMEL CAN NEVER BE A PLACE OF PEACE. THOUGH IT DOESN’T TAKE A FOOL TO SEE THAT. IT IS ALL IN THE NAME.”
Her eyes rolled to one side, as if looking at Zeriel (of course, that was impossible, but hey, at least she’s trying).
“SOMETHING WRONG WITH ROYALTY? YOU KNOW, WE AREN’T ALL BAD.”
Scaled lips pulled back into the best smile a dragon could produce, fangs and all.
