"IRIS!" Prompto screams, "DUCK!" Rolling forward, he aims his pistol directly above her head, shooting at the creature which had leapt from the building behind her. The girl does as she told, her small form crouching over, her hands covering her head. Gods, Gladio would kill him if Prompto got Iris hurt in anyway. Sprinting back towards her, he takes her hand. "We gotta go!" he calls out, shooting at a few of the goblins rising up from the earth. The roads are all like this now, unsafe, and home to creatures of night which own this world."Okay," she says, squeezing his hand tight as they dash down the street. Lestallum is so close. Prompto can see the huge barricades they've erected since the darkness took over, the tower of cars stacked upon one another, the large layers of scaffolding..."Don't worry, we're gonna make it," he says, picking up his speed. Iris looks at him with such faith, Prompto really believes his own words, even as the daemons start sprouting up from the ground in larger numbers. He bangs on the side entrance to Lestallum, his fist pounding against the metal. He doesn't notice or care about the bruising which is starting to form on the side of his hand. "Open up! It's Prompto Argentum, of the Crownsguard!" he yells. His voice is hoarse; all he does lately is scream it seems. Whether he's awake or sleeping, there's always some reason to cry out. "I've got Iris Amicitia with me!" "Let us in! Daemons are surrounding the place!" she cries out, just as the lever clicks opening. "Quickly," A man says, a few Glaive warping by them as head to face the daemons. There's a part of Prompto which feels he should help, yet his gun feels heavy in his hands, and he won't feel satisfied until he sees Iris inside, the task completely finished. She's the one to pull him in, the moment of hesitance enough for her to tug his hand forward, yanking him down the alleyway. "We did it!" she cheers, jumping up and down, her fists thrust into the air in a victory pose. "Thanks Prompto," she smiles.Relief is all he can feel, however, and his hands come to his thighs, his body collapsing to the ground. "I can't believe we made it," he whispers, panting a bit. It had been a long trek from Cape Caem, Prompto escorting Iris back to Lestallum after picking up supplies from a boat coming in from Altissa. Normally it would've been routine, had their car not broken down a mile out from Lestallum, and the closer they drew to people, the more concentrated the daemons were. Prompto was a good fighter, and he'd gotten even better in the last year or so (it had become a necessity), but Gladio was meant to be her escort until he’d passed the job off to Prompto saying ‘something had come up’ without elaborating any more.Honestly, he feels lucky they made it back to Lestallum alive. "I knew we'd make it!" Iris smiles, holding her hand out to Prompto. "I had complete, 100% faith in you. And I take it Gladdy did too, if he trusted to pass the job off to you." Interesting. Funny how Gladio trusts him to do something. Prompto can barely trust himself to get out of bed everyday, let alone protect Gladio’s only sister.
He takes her small hand in his and pulls himself up, her small body swaying with the motion of his weight. It sometimes is so strange to him, how Iris and Gladio are siblings. They seem like such polar opposites, and yet their compassion, and desire to help others is exactly the same; Prompto can see it in her eyes.
"Well if we hadn't, your brother would've resurrected me if only to murder me again for not keeping you safe," he admits, a laugh coating his words. "Gladdy wouldn't be that bad, I don't think," Iris laughs. "But don't worry," she winks. "I'll tell him what a great job you did." "That would be awesome!" he snickers. "Maybe just leave out the whole car fiasco. What he doesn't know won't hurt 'im," Prompto winks back. "You got it," she giggles, the two high-fiving to seal the deal. It's true, what Gladio doesn't know won't hurt him, and for now, they're safe.

When your best friend warps you out of harms way.
But you’re not too sure about heights and also warping is vom inducing.

blindingloyalty:
There’s a sound of rummaging about that catches his ear, soft footsteps, as if to feign some sort of stealth. Yet his hearing is keen, his strongest in term of senses, which has his head turning, as if to acknowledge the sound.“I may be lacking sight, but my hearing if far from failing-” A pause follows, as if to confirm the presence of someone else. “May I ask just what it is you’re doing?” // OPEN STARTER.
He’d just wanted a small snack. He knows it’s bad to eat this late at night, but since Ignis hasn’t been doing the cooking, the food they’ve been eating isn’t as filling, so Prompto found his stomach rumbling late at night. He thought he could possibly get away with sneaking around...but Dammit...he should’ve known Ignis would hear him. And being sneaky isn’t exactly his strongest suit. “Uh...I was just...uh...grabbing a snack, Iggy.” He sounds so frustrated, and slightly offended. “Sorry to...bug you...” he mutters. He really thought the other had been asleep.
Since these kinda promos get around easier, I’m makin’ a new one! You can give this post a like or reblog (or follow the blog) if you want to interact with a Gladiolus Amicitia from Final Fantasy XV!

Noctis and Prompto are so cute
Winter starters because I still can't help myself 🌨❄️🌧
“I’ve never been ice skating before…”
“I hate winter.”
“It’s supposed to snow today!”
“We’re snowed in…”
“We can spend Christmas alone together if you want.”
“What do you want for [holiday celebration]?”
“Santa just scares me…”
“Do we HAVE to watch Elf again?”
“Hot chocolate?”
“Bring a jacket!”
“I wish it was summer…”
“The power’s out.”
“That’s the dumbest looking snowman I’ve ever seen.”
“Here, take my jacket.”
“This weather is depressing.”
“Happy holidays!”
hismajestyseyes:
Ignis could hear the mild resistance from Noctis in the back seat, knowing full well that all of them were extremely tired. He really should have elaborated that they were going to rest in Lestallum first, and then move onward from there. Did the other boys really think him so inconsiderate?
“The first plan of action is to get to Lestallum. From there, we can take a night to rest and regather supplies. We will worry about the encampments the following night…” He had to devise a plan, depending on which bases were still left. From his understanding there were at least 4 more, and he had to see where they were in relation to each other on the map.
His attention focused more on the road in front of him, the sun beginning to dip in the sky and turning it to brilliant shades of oranges and reds. It would be dark soon, and darkness meant the potential for daemon activity on the road. Looks like I’ll have to pick up the pace…
A sigh of utter and complete relief left Prompto’s lips when Ignis mentioned they’d at least get the chance to stop in Lestallum before driving to take on an encampment. “Oh thank the gods,” Prompto said, his voice filled with happiness. He leaned his head back against the seat of the car. “I thought for sure you were going to take us right now!”
“Though that was silly of me to think. It’s you,” he snorted. “You gotta plan everything out. You wouldn’t be so impulsive!” he laughed. Of course Ignis would want to plan everything out in the comfort and safety of a hotel. Plus they were pretty far from the encampment he spoke of and nightfall wasn’t too far off.
“I’m so excited,” Prompto said shooting his hands up into the air. “An actual bed tonight! Sleep in Lestallum is the best!” He glanced to the side, noting Ignis’ intense focus on the road in front of him. “Hey Iggy, you better sleep too,” Prompto said, leaning towards him. “No staying up all night coming up with strategies. Enjoy your bed for once!”
sandprincessrikku:
She scratched her cheek in thought. Well that was a loaded question. A soft hum slipped from the young thief.
“Well..I guess you could say we umped into each other, I guess? I’m not really from around here and here but I heard that people could use a hand soo..” Rikku shrugged her shoulders. “..I suppose it was all out of luck, really.”
Prompto tilted his head at such a vague answer. In this day and age however, people having secrets or darker pasts wasn’t exactly unheard of. It wasn’t like he was about to give up all his personal information either. Still, it seemed a little strange...
But she was so friendly, it was hard to linger on any other thoughts. “I guess that really is lucky!” Prompto chuckled. “Cindy’s great, you couldn’t have fallen into better hands!”
“And hey, if you’re hunter, maybe we could do a hunt together! You know, see each other in action!” he said, aiming his finger guns towards the hills as he made a popping noise with his lips.
blindxtactician:
He did wonder what was taking Prompto so long. Ignis lived a bit away, yes, but not that far. Ah well. While he wiated, he sipped lightly at a cup of coffee and glanced through th earticles in the morning’s newspaper. Thankfully, he didn’t have long to wait.
There was a knock on his door and he set down his coffee to answer it. Exactly as expected, Prompto stood there. He looked a touch nervous. Ignis couldn’t help but wonder how good this would go.
“Come in,” he said, stepping aside while still holding the door open for the other. “Would you like anything to drink before we get started?”
When Ignis opened the door, Prompto’s face paled. Oh gods, here he was, looking as classy and dashing as ever, even just in his casual wear. Yes, there was no way Ignis was going to be a bad dancer. (Prompto supposed it would be pretty foolish if he offered to teach Prompto and then was bad at it himself).
He swallowed, stepping into Ignis’ space, wringing his hands together nervously. He began to swing them back and forth, and he bounced up and down on his toes nervously. “No! Nah, no,” he said quickly, waving his hands in front of him. “I’m good. Not thirsty,” he laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.
It shouldn’t have been this weird! It was just Ignis, and Prompto was extremely comfortable with Ignis. He just wasn’t comfortable with himself and his two probably left feet.
“We can just get started!” he said finally. Really he wanted to get it over with. Not that he thought he would have a bad time with Ignis, he just wasn’t prepared at all. Plus, it was easy to hate things that reminded him so blatantly that he was the odd one out. Ignis, Noctis, Gladio...all of them had probably learned to dance as children, and yet here Prompto was, an adult, needing to get dance lessons from one of his best friends.
It was...embarrassing really. “So uh, just a warning,” Prompto said, his voice growing quieter. “I’m probably...no, definitely going to suck at this.”
