Today is Toby's 4-year Gotcha Day, and he finally ALMOST took a bath!!! It's been a long road watching him come out of his shell these past 4 years, but I am a happy, happy bird momma ❤️❤️❤️
(But he still bites 😬🥲)

Today's Ginger and Pie
I've decided my new favorite Adult (tm) hobby is bird watching. Just vibing though, nothing serious.
So on that note, send me your favorite kind of bird! I'll go first; the baby robins in our front yard 🥹
A bird on the shoulder and a bird on the lap, helping me through the work week while we all try not to melt in these obnoxiously high spring temps.
Have I mentioned Ira's claws are really friggin' sharp? 🫠

hi luci !!! I don't know if you already got asked this, so feel free to clump it in with another ask and tag me — but what is YOUR favourite bird? bonus question: what's one bird you really would love to see irl and haven't yet?
I did answer here!
There are two birds native to WA that I haven't seen that I am dying to.
1 - Burrowing owl: we have them on the east side of the state. They are really hard to see in the wild because they are pretty elusive and not where there is heavy human traffic.
2 - Lazuli Bunting: another one that's all over the east half of the state (I need to get out there more) I love buntings but they prefer the east side of the cascades so I don't get to see them often.
mourning dove outside is singing a song. they come out every evening. yesterday it rained and they sat on the wire and took a little bath. fluffed their feathers and everything; it was so cute!!
