I like to think Ariadne has a little bit of witch in her.
there’s got to be a reason that the string never runs out, yarn is only so long, and she’s also the daughter of a witch, a cousin of a witch, and a niece of a witch. Maybe just maybe Dionysus saw how she’d do anything for the people she loves and saw power and saw how insane she could get and that’s one of the reasons he fell like he did.
How I interpret her. Also, intro post!!
out of character me will speak in normal text but Ariadne will speak
like this
I take inspiration from many sources for characterization but the witch part is just personal headcanon. In my interpretation Ariadne was closest to Asterion (the Minotaur) as a child but grew apart from him as they both aged and his nature became less human-like. She is a teenager, seventeen or so when she meets Theseus. He is also a lost kid who is scared for his homeland. Ariadne detests him but I will not try to vilify him too much. She meets Dionysus and she tries not to at first but she falls hard and marries him, when she is killed by Artemis, he takes both her and his mom back from the underworld and they both attain divine status and she and Dionysus sort of have a second wedding with his mom attending and he gives her her signature crown of stars.
Now as the goddess of labyrinths and immortal wife of Dionysus, she is now somewhat vengeful and cocky and will treat many the way her husband does, but she does this through hexes and spells.
she will flirt with and considers herself in a relationship with every Dionysus gimmick blog on here so beware!
