At the dress rehearsal I was given my headpiece for the first time and I cried when I tried to dance in it because it was made of metal and so heavy. That year my ballet mentor, Stanley Holden passed away and I remember when the curtain came up and my music started to play I felt no weight ...was dancing for him that night🙏🏻. I was 18 here. My dad made the shell throne behind me 🐚💦 #balletpost
