Hux was the backstabbing schemer who got dumbed down into a very small role with a boring death he didn’t deserve and he never had any of his backstory complexities explored onscreen, Phasma was full of potential as a terrifying sociopathic cold blooded killer but it turns out they just created her to sell merch and never wanted to go anywhere serious with her, Kylo started out terrifying and interesting since he was willingly pursuing the dark and super self serving and dangerously unstable but they got lost in giving him a sob story with no real onscreen justification for why it was a sob story
