this post has been a long time coming...

it’s time for me to leave this blog for good. i’m afraid that i don’t have the time to run it anymore, as adult life catches up with me. i’ve had so much fun writing stories here, and i’ll cherish the time that i had on this blog. i know i’ll miss it, but i’ve got other things that i need to work on now. i’m not giving up writing completely, but i won’t be writing fanfiction any more. instead, i want to focus on writing my own original stories for myself. i haven’t been able to keep up with the fandom recently, and while i still love bts, i don’t have the time to engage with much content outside of their music anymore...

i am sorry to those who requested fics from me that i was not able to finish, and to those who were waiting for me to finish a series. i tried to take on too much work for myself, and i’m sorry if i disappointed anyone by doing so.

i just wanted to thank everyone who’s supported me by reading my stories over the years, by leaving me kind messages, and by making my time on this blog so special 💖

i didn’t want to just up and go without warning, so i will be posting a few more fics before i leave. i’ve got some christmas themed stories in the works, since those were always my favourite to write, and i’ll be posting those for you very soon. i’ll be posting a schedule of upcoming fics which you can look forward to, so stay tuned for that.

Hi there, how are you doing?

I hope you've been having a good week so far. I just wanted to say hi and leave my thoughts on a scenario of yours. I read your "The Taming of the Tsundere" fic some time ago this summer and to put it simply, I enjoyed it so much; an incredible amount. I graduated high school mid-June of this year so it was such a lovely fic to read as I have now only began to let go of the fact that high school is over for me and I will be starting college in just a few days. Slowly but surely I am letting go. Thinking about it now, I am feeling pretty sad, hahaha. But it's okay and I am excited for the future.

Back to your fic, I absolutely loved the humor in between it all and how every bit humor, fluff, angst, etc. was balanced perfectly. You write with complexity yet your sentences were put simple and with clarity that I imagined every scene easily and that is probably the number one reason why I enjoyed this fic so much. I like the sort of "cold-open" in the second scene where we're introduced to Yoongi, Hobi, and Nam of course, but mostly the kind of relationship they have with each other and I enjoy this between every character as you wrote these relationships where it isn't perfect; it's casual and there's care and fondess between the characters despite times where they can upset each other and it's realistic b/c I can imagine it between me and someone else. Great job on that.

Another thing I want to point out is the dialogue and just how it fits so well with everyone and once again, is realistic b/c even my family members and I have used the same language and it's even more enjoyable to me as a reader.

One of my favorite parts that makes laugh is when Hoseok tells Yoongi to help the reader (in such a straightforward way: "Yoongi, go help her out," and that made me laugh already) and Hobi's reasoning is, "B/c she might need a big strong man to help her carry the supplies." LOL, I love it.

I'm sorry if this is getting a bit too long so I will leave it here (I can go on but I think I would just send message after message, hahaha). Other than that though, it was just such an amazing 33k slow burn fic and I am a fan of slow burns. I love the change of scenes so much and the detail you put into it and the use of imagery and figurative language was amazing and I thank you for making such a wonderful, comforting, and satisfying piece of writing. Satisfying b/c the angst was just at the perfect level and the following scenes where everything is slowly becoming good again was just as exceptional. I am so scared at this point of my message becoming too long but I just have to say: THE DANCING SCENE? W/ Namjoon tossing that imaginary lasso over Yoongi and Yoongi slowly hopping his way over to Nam to dance? Phenomenal. I also liked how you added the song "YMCA." It was just such a tiny and perfect addition and made me chuckle and play the song in the background as it's a favorite of mine to Yoongi making his way to fix things, lol.

But anyway, outstanding work you created and I'm still thrilled to have read it when I did; to have even found it at all. I'm going to miss high school greatly and while I didn't participate in many things or have even gone to a high school dance, it was just so nice to imagine myself in school that way one last time. Your fic was my spark of hope and excitement for the future that where I will continue to hope and work for good things to come during my time at college. Thank you very much once again and as I have read your pinned post, I will hold this fic close and I hope that every day brings you large amounts of happiness, comfort, and peace. This fic is on my list of absolute favorites for BTS.

The story was definitely inspired by my own nostalgia for high school, so I'm glad that it resonated with you. I've been out of school for a while now (time flies!), but I have so many fond memories of that time in my life (and college as well, you have that to look forward to! 😊) In a way, this fic was my love letter to my past self, past crushes, and old friends. We move on from those times, but we still treasure the memories in our hearts. I wish you all the best with moving on to college! The work load can be tough, but it's such a fun experience, and I'm sure you'll do well 💖😊

That being said, thank you so much for saying such kind things about my writing, oh my gosh!!! I'm glad you found my style clear, and enjoyable to read. I had a lot of fun writing the interactions between the cast - some characterisations were definitely inspired by my own friend group and the way we carry on together. I strive to write realistic dialog and believable characters, so I'm glad I was able to achieve that! 🤧

Oh man, that dance scene 😂 I'm so happy you liked it. It was so much fun to write. Somehow, 'YMCA' always seemed to play at parties in school, so I just associate it with that now. It brings up a lot of happy memories.

There’s a fic on fanfiction(.)net that I’ve kept tabs on for years to see if it’s been updated or not. While I’m no longer even in the fandom it’s written for, it just has one of the greatest storylines I’ve ever read. Last time it was updated was 2011.

The other day, I decided to reread the entire thing and leave a very in-depth review of what I thought of each chapter. I also mentioned how I started reading it when I was 13 and am now 21, but always came back to see if it was ever finished because I loved it so dearly.

Today, said author sent me a private message saying that her analytics showed that the story was still getting views even after all these years, but no one ever bothered to leave reviews other than “update soon!!!”, so she never felt motivated enough to finish it. She said that me reviewing every single chapter with lengthy paragraphs made her cry and meant the world to her. She also mentioned that she felt encouraged to write the two remaining chapters needed to complete the story and that she would send me a message the night before she updates the fic.

I’m literally sobbing. I’m so excited :’)

Please always remember to leave a review when reading fanfiction!!! It means a lot to a writer.

Ding dong. I spring up. I know what that sound means. Y/N’s back!

Yoongi and I have the same reaction. I scramble out of bed, he scrambles behind me, and together we careen down the hall, my paws clicking on the wood, his sock soles sliding on the floor. I’ve never seen him this excited before.

Quickly, open the door, open the door! I leap up at the handle. I bark a few times. Quickly!

“Alright, alright, Holly,” he fumbles for his keys on the hook, and then, gently pushing me aside with one foot, he goes to the door. And there you are! I dash around your legs, barking at you to let you know I missed you. Your face crinkles into a smile when you see us. “There’s my two favourite boys.” With one hand you lift me up, your other hand pulling Yoongi in for a hug.
