Varak, the Captain

A former gladiator for Clan Bomak Akhii, turned freelance mercenary, Varak has made a name for herself as an expert in dealing with rampaging Rahi in the absence of Toa and as a skilled expedition guide. Her professional mannerisms and cool headed have gained her the moniker of "The Captain" by her clients, a title she almost prefers to her actual name. Though she excels at taking Rahi down, she has a immense respect for the beasts and will rarely kill them unless needed. Her prefered method is to use her unique Mandible Shield to bash at any Kanohi they might have, before using its locking front jaw to unmask them. Should that fail, or not be an option, she will employ her Shock Scissor to incapacitate the threat. It is only in the most dire of situations that she will employ her shoulder rifle, which is capable of firing deadly plasma shots.

Urjax, the Purifier

Once a maintenance worker and pest control for Onu-Metru's Great Archives, Urjax spent the bulk of his time down in the nigh forgotten depths. Fighting off Kinloka and various insectoid Rahi on the daily, and fixing the problems they caused to the ancient infrastructure, he formed a rather pronounced distaste for vermin and insects. At some point while carry out his Duty, he'd stumble across a disconnected Bohrok Hive below Metru-Nui, resulting in him forming an interest in the beings after communicating with a Krana. He would end up being forgotten during Teridax's abduction of the Matoran and would remain in Metru-Nui during the Visorak's attack, awaking the lost Hive to aid him in warding off the spiders from the lower Archives.

Post-Reformation, he has becomes a understandably eccentric Toa with a connection to Kranna's Hive, reflected in his uniquely Krana-like Kanohi. The least communicative of the Toa Coltes, he contrast their general offbeat personalities with his stalwart nature. He has proven to be meticulous when it comes to cleanliness, usually being found tidying up after his teammates when they are off duty. His unique Great Vologo, Mask of Transmutation, allows him alter the composition of matter around him in a dome, though he is bound by the laws of chemistry. His Atomic Scrubber is capable of acting as both a mace and a tool for removing harmful toxins and radiation poisoning, making him invaluable to his team in sickly areas of Spherus Magna.

Platana, the Dancing Brakas

Having spent much of his Matoran life living with Brakas, Platana has a very loose grasp on societal norms. Curious, lively and affable, his antics both entertain and annoy his teammates. He is however undoubtedly the most agile of all of them, being nearly impossible to strike in combat, much to his opponent's infuriation. He also is more at home in jungles than any of his Bo kin, navigating their trees and tangles as easy as breathing for him. His go to strategy in combat is to use his superior movement to lead enemies into overgrowth, this dance around them, using his Huna to keep them guessing where he'll pop up next.

Rek, the Aurora

They say "heavy is the head that wears the crown", and few know the truth of these words as well as the Leader of the Toa Coltes, Rek. Having been assigned by the Toa Order to guide the band of specialized but oddball Toa that make up the team, the lanky Su-Toa has his work cut out for him. More than capable on his own, having earned the title "Aurora" during the War of Elements, he often finds himself longing to return to being a solo act. However, despite how much their bickering and antics test and stress him, he has a loyalty to the Coltes deep down, knowing that while their Unity often lacks and their sense of Duty can be questionable, when Destiny calls, they answer. His personal Toa Tool of choice are twin Star Claws, made of an alloy capable of withstanding the insane heat of his element. His Kanohi, meanwhile, a Great Suletu, is mostly put to use to aid him in social situations, letting him read the intents of others and react accordingly. He has learned first hand, however, that attempting to use his mask of Zeke proves detrimental to his own intelligence.

Zeke, the Iron Ape

Stocky, strong but dumb as a brick, Zeke's main concern in any situations are whether or not an explosion is the answer. Unfortunately for his teammates, the conclusion the Fe-Toa usually arrives at is "yes". Given this desire to explode anything that provides him with any amount of challenge, he was to constantly be supervised, a task usually carried out by Selen. The two have a somewhat rocky relationship, given his blunt and thoughtless comments tend to grate on her thin nerves. However, despite all his mental lack, when the Toa Coltes need someone to cause some havoc or clear a crowd, Zeke does so with glee and effectiveness.

Selen, the Signal

Deputy of the Toa Coltes, Selen is known to be as smart as she is testy. Processing a higher than average psionic sensitivity, she nigh constantly has some level of migraine, highly populated areas being nearly unbearable for her, given the flood of mental presences. Her teammates often joke that she commonly hangs around with Zeke given there isn't much going on inside the Fe-Toa's brain crystal. Its just as common to see her psionically punishing the stocky moron for his impulsive idiocy. In combat Selen excels at coordinating and communicating, using her proficiency with her element to track positioning and send telepathic messages over massive ranges. Her Toa Tools are a pair of Shredder Shields, bucklers with tonfa sickles she can telekinetically spin at intense speeds, and her Kanohi of choice is a Great Aahk, which she uses to verbally release all her pent up stress.

Centirix, the Farcrawler

 An Onekiri sworn to the Oath of the Spire, Centirix's Duty saw her playing sentinel to the Dark Spire, a crystalline formation containing an ancient and forgotten evil. Misfortune would strike when the Dark Spire would be discovered shattered, its evil released upon the Matoran Universe once more. Realizing this failure risked not only her being rendered an Oathbreaker but also put the world in danger, Centirix would leave Kurai to hunt the ancient evil. Fully expecting to die to the evil, she nevertheless marches forward to do what she can to redeem herself.

Calm, though somewhat socially detached due to ages spent in vigilant reclusion, Centirix is quiet and committed, an agent of Duty like many of her kin. Though highly skilled with her Jagakhi, a unique Onekiri polearm, she is slow to engage in any conflict that doesn't directly interfere with her Duty. Her thorax mounted Rhotuka Launcher is capable of firing out Purge Rhotuka, which deal heavy Psionic damage to beings with high Inner Shadow levels.

Bhalor, the Hurricane Hurler

A Lohmanu of Clan Brisa, Bhalor gained a reputation among the Clan of being a magnet for misfortune to any vessel she was aboard, given that hurricanes seemed to hit whenever she was at sea. For this reason she ended up being confined solely to gladiatorial rings, as it was believed this was the only way she could be "profitable" for the Clan. This exile from the ocean would last until she was obtained by Lady Vutryn, a Brisa Dahkini merchant and smuggler, who had suspensions as to what the "misfortune" Bhalor attracted actually was. Having the Lohmanu modified with a back mounted Rhotuka Launcher, her theories were confirmed with the reveal of Bhalor being able to launch devastating Maelstrom Rhotuka, summoning a hurricane in any body of water it contacted. With the Silver Sea now able to release its rage at her whim, Lady Vutryn would place Bhalor aboard her flagship, making the Lohmanu her personal muscle and bodyguard. Soft spoken and slow to anger, Bhalor's personality is at odds with the frightening appearance and reputation of her people. She greatly adores the ocean, feeling a sense of freedom on it that is a rare treat for a Lohmanu, and is eternally grateful to her current mistress for allowing her to sail it once more. Though she takes little joy in violence, Bhalor will dutifully fulfill any command Lady Vutryn gives her and has sent more than a few ships to the depths at her mistress' command.

Dejaivo, the Stormsong

A Toa Eyakaki of Lightning and Sonics, everything Dejaivo does is a performance. Stylish, mysterious and theatrical, this lone Toa will show up unexpectedly at the 11th hour, posed dramatically before blasting threats to Karzahni. Her true voice is not known, as she always speaks with autotune-esque modulation. When not solving problems, she can be found in underground corners of large social centers, putting on performances unlike anything the Matoran Universe has ever seen. Aiding her in both her shows and fights is her custom Great Mahiki, which she pairs with her twin Diva Disks. These Tools can be used to channel her elements in funky ways, or be put together to become an electric sawblade yo-yo she can send whirling around the battlefield. She is rarely seen without her twin drone companions, M1-KU and T3-T0, which can act as both floating speakers for her musical performances or as conduits to extend the range of her lightning blasts.

Cakutus, the Living Thornax

The Secondary Glatorian of Team Jungle, Cakutus was a controversial pick by Monma, for while Jungle Vorox are allowed in Bota Magna civilization, ancient prejudices still exist. The Primary of Jungle stood by her choice, however, and it has paid off in many victories for Team Jungle. A defensive juggernaugt despite his lean frame, Cakutus' barbed chitinous armor makes it hard for opponents to attack him without hurting themselves. Furthermore he has the unorthadox tactic of throwing Thornax by hand, using them more akin to grenades or caltrops than launcher ammo. Given this means their flight isn't simply a straight line or predicable arc, his opponents can quickly find themselves backed into a prickly cage. This defensive, long game method of fighting pairs well with Monma's grappling reach, making the pair a complex duo in double battles.

Ensei, the Protoseeker

A master of Protodermy, Ensei once was employed by Lord Mantax himself to figure out the secrets of Protosteel. His wealth and prestige would be stripped from him with the fall of the Barraki, the Brotherhood fearing instability if Protosteel became more freely available. While such misfortune would cause most to become bitter and vengeful, so strong is Ensei's fascination with his craft that he has continued to study despite having little in the way of funding or resources anymore. As the Brotherhood slipped more into darkness, he has become the target of multiple assassination attempts. His knowledge and Virus-induced small size has allowed him to continually slip away.

Barahka, the Mechanist

A Makuta that stands uniquely apart from her siblings in the Brotherhood, Barahka focuses not on being a great warrior or scientist, but instead an engineer. By far the Makuta that knows the most about Rahkshi shells, she spends the majority of her time attempting to create more advanced and specialized shells, often for no other reason than to see if she can. Instead of traditional Hagah, she kept a trio of Toa riders called the "Dread Cavaliers" under her command, each of the three representing an Anti-Virtue. She herself, when riding into battle with them atop her custom Korvoro Model Rahkshi, represented "War". Sardonic, standoffish and given to chase whatever madcap ideas enter her mind, Barahka's eccentricity and perpetually foul mood makes her hard for other Makuta to interact with. Though they appreciate (and envy) her genius, her anti-scial nature makes her an outcast among her kin. She wears a Great Urmukari, Mask of Scrambling, which she would use as a threat against those who disturb her work. In battle she employs her Korvoro steed, with its combination of Anger, Shadow and Laser Vision, alongside her Krataa Chakram, which she can control the path of mentally or use to spew the slug across the battlefield.

Arribax the Slayweaver

"Make it a career, they said. Go big, they said. Wish they'd all kept their big rustin' mouths closed…" One of the most skilled and renown tailors in all of the Matoran Universe, Arribax has sewn capes and vestments for royals and heroes. Yet despite his lauded genius with fabric and thread, he is unexpectedly humble in appearance and has become reclusive in the current era. The latter is mostly due to growing frustrations he has at the eccentricities and egos of the nobles that flock to him, the toll of which makes him endlessly tired, sardonic and disgruntled.
