There is a heatwave over here right now, and I had this talk with my boss. For a moment I thought „the fuck, dude. Have you been in a single bus this past week?“ and then I remembered that he has his own car. And his wife has her own car. So they are never ever in conflict over who gets the car. So no, he probably hasn‘t been in a bus in a while

In a few chapters Connor becomes friends with Rupert and it is mentioned that they are sitting on a bench with a bunch of Rupert's pidgeons and I LOVED IT SO MUCH. So here's Connor, Rupert and some pidgeons:

Sometimes I just want to open up peoples head and check what is going on in their brains. Like dude… YOU had to take over most of his work for six months. There is NO WAY you forgot about this. What lead you to this decision?

Witnessed this conversation between a Dutch and some Germans. Roughly 80 years ago someone decided to put an elephant on the Schwebebahn (suspension railway) and it panicked, rammed the door, and fell out. Now when people visit Wuppertal they often assume that said elephant died - mainly because the river below the suspension railway is not deep at all and it would be a VERY harsh landing today. But it used to be much deeper back then, because many of the factories pumped their sewage into it. Anyway, the elephant survived BUT the statue erected in its memory was recently washed away in a flooding (and found again a few days later).
