OC: Síofra has lived with cursed senses from the day she was born. These have given her an ethereal second sight, but at the cost of making her normal, mortal senses prone to dysfunction. This curse has also given her a way to tap into magical power without training, but its raw nature with a lack of proper knowledge and guidance leads to limited results for anything that requires finesse.

She originally grew up on a farm, but primarily lives a city life in the present day. Despite appearing mostly normal, her supernatural nature can be subtly unnerving, particularly when people look into her unusual, perpetually tired eyes. Despite this initial impression, she can be surprisingly hospitable, albeit prone to stubbornness and frustration.

Name:

Her full name is "Síofra Doibhilin". Síofra (shee-fra) is an Irish name that means fairy, or elf. Her surname is a reference to a real family name that some sources claim means "unlucky" or "unfortunate" (although this is contested), and is often anglicised as "Devlin".

OC Introduction:

Shannon was once an ordinary wild fox who became a fox fairy after being forced into a process of metamorphosis. She is curious and clever by nature, but has become an anxious person in the unexpected wake of having to adjust to sapient life.

Fox fairies are said to be able to predict the future. However, Shannon generally only has enough power where the only thing she can prognosticate decently in advance is the weather, making her a rather mediocre fortune teller. Instead, she uses this ability to pretend to be a meteorologist, using weather forecasts as a source of income in order to live in human society, as she can no longer tolerate the isolation of the wild.

Her name comes from the irish name "Sionnain", which is similar to one irish word for fox, "sionnach".
