Started and finished my first ever ZINE today. The hardest part was configuring my scanner! Excited to make more.

Found a life drawing session local to me this week! Felt great to come back to it after a SIX YEAR break. I used to go every Wednesday night to a friend's studio, and we would all hang out until 2 in the morning. The last session was the day before the US pandemic shut down, and since then everyone moved away and my friend's studio closed.

Anyway, it was good to get back to it. The model was Tracey, who I have drawn over the years many times. It was good to see her familiar curly hair and tattoos!

My only gripe with this session was they did not have a light for the model - it was just fluorescent lights on the ceiling. And they didn't have easels or drawing horses, only tables! I threw together a box to angle my board accordingly.

Next time, I'll be sure to bring my own stand. Don't know what to do about the light though, wouldn't it be rude to give one to the host after attending only one time?
