This year is the 20th anniversary of KHR and I am TWEAKING so badly. I've got brainrot worms and this art piece has been living in my files for too long now.

I suppose this 20th anniversary has given me a reason to finish it.

Have my cringe ocs in the khr world, I'm so so so so obsessed with these girlie pops, angst and found family are my jam. They're also a mafia family but I've yet to figure out a name because I'm so bad at it.

Not me trying to be active again, and trying to finish my next oc art piece just to be hit with more work hours, get diagnosed with pcos AND facing off cyclone vaianu; would crash out if the power gets cut out and my art piece doesn’t get saved.

oh why Hibari x Homura?

Originally wasn't going to be a head shot but I just couldn't conjure up anything since I'm pretty tired from Easter holidays.

If Hibari is the unstoppable force, Homura was his immoveable object.

Growing up, Homura was taught aikido and judo and she never stopped. Aikido is a very beautiful japanese martial arts where the philosophy behind the art is to not cultivate violence or aggression but to neutralise the aggressor. One of the principles is redirecting opponents attacks (in a nut shell).

I find it very funny to have Hibari be hip thrown (koshi nage, although more often associated with judo, but it's Hibari, she doesn't want to die) or wrist locked by her constantly. She refuses to fight him properly, so he keeps badgering her just to get most of his attacks deflected/returned back to him. I believe it very much hurts his pride that she refuses to fight nor do any offensive strikes on him. Though I also do think what offends him even more is that Homura never finishes whatever fight she had started with him.

Personality wise, I like that they clash. Homura is very reclusive, reluctant most of the time and always refuses to be in a position of responsibilities compared to Hibari. He doesn't like that someone as spineless as Homura is capable of throwing him around.

She's unfortunately selected as class president because nobody really wanted to be. She was unlucky and got picked through the drawing lot. She's also in Ryohei (and Hibari if he actually went to class), Himari and Haruka's class. And despite it being agreed that nobody questions Hibari on classwork, as class president she herself has the unfortunate task on getting Hibari to submit his homework, assignments and do his class chores.

It obviously never ends well.

Asides from that, Hibari is one of my favourite KHR characters so it was no brainer that these two would be my favourite pairings. Homura is also my favourite OC within the girls. However, even though this ask was meant to be for the two of them, I absolutely love, love, love Homura's interactions with her other girl friends.

Homura has beef with Haruka, the Sun Guardian. Haruka is a judo athlete and it's no surprise that the Namimori Judo and Namimori Aikido (very small) clubs got some friendly, rivalry beef with each other. Homura and Haruka have that but it's not as friendly on Homura's end. Despite knowing both arts, Homura prefers aikido but Haruka wants Homura to participate in judo tournaments. Homura sees Haruka as another Hibari trying to get her to fight, to which Homura does not want to do.

Another favourite one is with Ginevra, Mist Guardian. They're both two lonely girls, but lonely for two different reasons. They've got a weird, tense situationship going on as they avoid each other at school but at the end of some certain days of the weel, Ginevra visits Homura house for dinner. They don't talk much but they occasionally act like they live together.

Homura lives in a house by herself. Her parents are constantly out of town due to work so they gift her a crock pot. Homura always makes a crock pot meal in the morning so she doesn't have to make dinner and it amazes all the girls a lot. They have weekly dinner hang outs at Homura's house after school and her house became their main central meeting hub to meet up.

And because of this, with Hibari entering Homura's life, as their relationship progresses, he also hangs out with her for dinner at her house. Just the two of them, of course.

Best drama favourite one is with Sayaka, Rain Guardian. Sayaka and Homura are family, they're cousins. But due to Homura's mother deciding to take her husbands last name, Homura and her family are considered secondary to Sayaka's family/the clan.

I've rambled a lot in this ask and went totally off topic so I'll end it here for now!! But that's just the bare bones and gist of it.

Are your ocs shipped with anyone?

Short answer: it's complicated

Long answer, under the cut.

It started with the creation of a fanfiction, I wasn't sure what kind of character to make, much less make a shipping either. I had a very old x reader fanfiction written for each of the characters to figure out what sort of character I wanted to do.

It didn't also fit right with only making a single character either. I'm also a canon/canon divergence type of person as well so having a character or characters that essentially followed the KHR story was pretty important.

I don't know if anyone remembers the Powerpuff Girls shipping terms, but essentially, instead of colour shipping (eg blossick), I thought about doing flame shipping, lol. It was the easiest to start to get a feel.

So basically, the "mutual/base ships" are like, well, I guess they're a ship because I've made some character arc and story arc related to the pairings. However, as I dug deeper into the girls relationships with each other specifically, I found it much more interesting; found family, romance and ambiguous angst among them.

Not going to lie, I also snooped on a bunch of OCxCanon blogs to see what everyone was up too and how they were setting their characters. It was very good insight!

In the end, I've settled for everyone gets a ship/pairing!! OCxOC, OCxCanon and CanonxCanon!! Committed relationships, homewrecking, rebounds, regrets!!!!!! Mix matched!!! It's so messy!! What an awesome friend group!!! I love it!!

The chart isn't even the full extent but my wrist was hurting and it would have gotten even harder to read because not everyone's relationships stay the same from middle school to ten years later. This was all just kinda the important or roughly relationship timeline they would be in as I doodle here and there. Canon ships are really just my headcanons.

It's so stupidly convoluted, but I couldn't help it. Very inspired by animes like Nagi no Asukara, Anohana: The Flower We Saw that Day and Miraculous Ladybug.

Anyways, meet Sakura Sorano! She's the future tenth boss to the Riccio Di Mare family and uses skates to kick ass but actually, its just a faster way to get to school whenever she's running late.
